RE: Most terrifying experience of your life..
I have a few terrifying experiences in my life....but I'm certain being in the midst of an earthquake would be very terrifying. Two experiences I had was beyond my control: a gun being held to my face from an ex and being in the midst of the 9/11 attacks and watching all the lives that were taken away that day in full view. I live across the river from where the twin towers once stood. But a terrifying experience I just recently encountered was in my control. I just recently came back from Puerto Vallerta Mexico a few weeks ago and I decided to go "extreme" zip lining. Mind you, I've never done it before. But just imagine going on 11 zip lines over the Canopy River in Puerto Vallerta where the highest point was approx. 62 stories high and the longest zip line length was 1/4 mile long. I feared that day of falling. But I took it upon myself to do it (11 different heights); so I have no one to blame but myself. It was scarey but there was no way around it other than to do all the zip lines. It was quite a feat. Had my eyes closed most of the time. However, I did hold on to dear life. Would I do it again?? Not too sure. Lol. My other greatest fear is drowning. Probably why I've never gone on a cruise ship. I've gone on many skiffs, canoes, fishing, party and tour boats; but never a ship. Go figure lol!

RE: Do I HAVE to join Facebook?
Im glad I'm not the only one who is living in the dark ages lmao. J/K You know a few years ago I went to enter in a Beatles contest, so I signed up not realizing I was registering for Facebook to enter into the contest?????? I said WTF and deleted it right away. It's as tho people live in Facebook; everything around them is Facebook. I guess it's a good thing if you want to know what's happening with everyone's lives. But it's not for me. Sure I may not know what events are going around in the world around me. But I'm ok with that.

RE: Ringo's Auction
I don't know, I kind of have mixed feelings. I think it would be a nice jesture if the drum set and guitars were donated and kept safe in a museum; but whom am I to say. I, however, think it's really cool that Ringo is allowing his fans to own a piece of Beatles' history for a price lol. (Not only that, a large majority of the proceeds go to the Lotus Foundation which was founded by Ringo & Barbara. When you see his signed artwork and signed drumheads at his concerts; the proceeds go to the same cause.) Hey, that's how I was able to own one of Paul McCartney's Tour Jackets about 13 years ago. It was from Bette Midler's Hulaween Auction for the New York Restoration Project Charitybuzz. Every so often you will see a Paul McCartney auction for VIP tickets and meeting him at this Auction House. As a matter of fact, at this moment there's an auction to win VIP concert tickets to the Columbus, OH concert in October, along with meeting Sir Paul. The auction ends on September 23rd, and it's already at $26,000. I registered for Ringo's Auction at Julien for this lot in December. I don't know if I will win anything. But hey, you never know!

RE: Windows 10
Ok. As I am typing this I received a message on my laptop stating that my upgrade is now available. I just "x"-ed it out. I checked my operating system and found out I have windows 8.1; which I will stay with. Now if I can figure out how to get rid of that hijacker!

RE: Windows 10
I received a message on my laptop the other day that I was eligible for the free upgrade and to reserve it so I clicked on the link. It told me not to do anything until I received another message to download it With all the problems people seem to be encountering I don't want to download it. I hope I'm not committed. I'm hoping that I can just ignore the next message when it asks me to upgrade. I already have a hijacked site on my goggle chrome by trovia???? which I can't seem to get rid of no matter how times I've tried. (That's why I do everything from my iPhone. )

RE: Post something you learned or learnt today

RE: ".Sunrise doesn't last all morning."BEATNUT
You know; today I came here not thinking or realizing what day it was....something drew me here...so I went searching...and I am so very happy I did...well not actually happy because it was a sad day... So low and behold I found why I was drawn here today...although very sad...but it got me to think and wonder the good times of yesterday. I have such great memories and messages I received from (((mike))); friendship messages; but messages I kept. And I am so happy I did. I miss you dear (((mike)))... why do things happen the way they do???? I never knew you were ill..and if I did, I know I would've showed more compassion. It's so sad why things happen the way they do. Makes you wonder what you did it life for such bad things to happen....and then I realize that God needs good people up in Heaven. God bless you dear(((mike)))...I love and miss you so very much.

RE: Fan On The Run needs our prayers
Hey Nancy. Thanks for the info. I am not on Facebook so thank you for sharing this info on "fans on the run." Rick, I am so saddened by the fact you are going thru such bad, sad and painful times. And I know sometimes we listen to people and hear what they have to say; but sweetheart, you need to be strong. Be alive, stay alive! You need to enjoy and think about all the good times you have had. All the great memories past and present. Do not, I repeat, do not succumb to such a disease. I know it's easier said than done. But please try to stay strong and be strong. Try to be happy and not sad. And that's so great seeing the beautiful sense of humor you have. But unfortunately sometimes when we think the worse; it happens. So dont think negative thoughts. Think about ALL the beautiful 120 times you've seen Macca; Maybe I'm amazed, yes I am amazed; which I'm certain has been many of the wonderful times of your life; besides, of course, your family (& friends). My prayers are going your way and I am thinking positive thoughts. Peace and love to you always. Joanne

RE: Beautiful World
Although not as beautiful as the pictures I've seen here; by the way, they are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing such amazing beauty. Well anyway, I thought I would share this shot of a picture I took with my phone about a year ago when a bunch of us walked over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was twilight time.

RE: Collecting Beatles Memorabilia!
......I just received in the mail today something for my memorabilia room. It's a room divider. It's has 4 double-sided attached panels of the Beatles Abbey Road Album Cover. It's beautiful and made very well. It's 5 feet high. Would of loved it more if it were life-like in size lol.
