RE: Rusty
From Jorie Gracen's website November 12, 2003 Macca's guitarist extraordinaire, Rusty Anderson has just finished his first solo album called "Undressing Underwater." The first track "Hurt Myself" features Paul McCartney. For more details about the album, visit Rusty Anderson's official Web site at www.rustyanderson.com. "Undressing Underwater" will be available through Rusty's Web site in early December, just in time for Christmas! http://www.photos.mccartney.net/report.htm

OH! Darling:
Do we know if the band is currently in the UK working on the new CD?
The latest article in the news section of this website confirms that this is the case. It's heavily rumoured that Paul will be in South Africa for the concert but I don't know if it's been confirmed. I wonder if the band will play at the concert with Paul.

OH! Darling:
It's all a guessing game at this point until one of us has a chance to ask him in person.
Good one! If I ever met him, the words wouldn't come out of my mouth.

If you look at some of Mylene's fan pages, there are some very scantily clad women on stage - not sure I like that very much!!!!!!!
I KNOW!! There were some bare breasted women on the Johnny Halliday website, too. Which is worse....on stage or in the audience??
I didn't see that. Oh my goodness - I hope he had his eyes closed!!! Bare breasts in the audience - I only hope these women get so excited that they don't really know what they're doing. On stage - I suppose it's all part of a job. The Johnny Halliday show looked rather theatrical too. I hope playing with Paul isn't too boring for Brian!!

I got distracted and ended up looking at Mylene Farmer web pages. There's no great pics of Brian - he's always in the shadows or too blurry. This is the best one if you can be bothered to follow these rather poor instructions (once you've clicked on the link, click on the underlined phrases at the bottom and then enter the site on the next page. The click on 'gallerie photos' and then 'les concerts' on the following page. Select '21 photos disponibles' and go to the bottom and select the next page. It's the second one on top) and Abe's in it too: http://membres.lycos.fr/renest/ If you look at some of Mylene's fan pages, there are some very scantily clad women on stage - not sure I like that very much!!!!!!! The whole of Mylene's show makes the Paul preshow look quite tame.

Well - I've found this: http://www.miami-vice.org/episode/episode.asp?season=1&episode=10 but the crucial evidence is missing - no picture and no 'LISTEN' (actually, I'm not sure I'd know his solo voice anyway). Darn - I'll keep looking

Hi, Oh! Darling. An interesting snippet you've found there. But, YoungGerl raises a good point too because artists direct have got the Brian Rays muddled before - it could have happened again. If it's a religious based song I'd think it was the other one because he write religious songs for his wife, Crystal Lewis. However, there's also music by Etta James at the second link you provided which makes me think it could be our Brian because he was associated with her for a number of years. I know the songs weren't co-written but it's a coincidence. I shall investigate further. The show was on here in the early 80s and I've a feeling it was recently repeated but I've never watched it. I'm pretty sure the band are in the UK. I was sent a Rusty interview from Corinne (his PR) and in that, he says that they would be recording at Abbey Road this Autumn. Plus, Paul seems to spending most of his time in London at the moment. I read somewhere that they'd be taking a break over Christmas, probably after the birth of the macca baby and then continuing in the new year. Take care and I'll report back soon!

OH! Darling:
There are two DVD's...BITUS and BITWORLD. I believe the UK TV special was from the BITW DVD which was actually shot during the 2nd leg of the USA shows, Mexico & Japan in 2002. Confusing, isn't it? I'm not sure of all the differences but it would be worth a look to compare. quote] I've had a look on the web for a BITW dvd and I can't find one. I've already got the cd but I wasn't sure if there was a dvd. I'll have to keep an eye out for that - thanks for the info. In his msn chat, Paul implied the Russian show would eventually be on dvd - how many dvds can he get out of this tour??!! Still - it's worth if if there's more band footage.

Beatlesrock, that's great news. Don't you just love it! I hope there is a DVD for the European shows for the different set list including "She's leaving home", "Birthday", and "Calico Skies" and for more of the band. quote] In the Uk, an hour back in the world special was screened and I always assumed that was edited from the back in the us dvd, but I was wrong because that had She's Leaving Home and Let 'Em In (in Japan) on it. There was also footage of Paul having a Japanese meal and doing a dance with Abe - really funny! Not sure where those recordings came from. I'd love to see Birthday - Brian on tambourine!!!!!!!!! There should be more of the Band on the dvd.

Got the Back In The US dvd today. It's great. Brian is just so humble and seems so happy. I laughed my head off at the 'jumping' bit in Live and Let Die. Rusty is lovely too. Actually, they're all lovely.

Too true. Anyone seen any pictures of the band from the AAM Benefit Concert? I've only seen ones of Paul and Heather.

I LOVE this photo - thanks. It's so cool the way he's got his guitar slung over his back and the carrier bag is a very 'Brian' touch. Love 'im!!
I do, too!! It's just that certain style that he has....you know what I mean! I found one more photo circa 1998. Be sure to note the musicians on the tour: http://www.chez.com/discohallyday/stade%20de%20france%2098/stadefrance98.htm It's ABE!
Yes, I saw this one. I prefer him in black!! His right hand doesn't look right without his ring, though. Nice to have you back, Dreamseer.

This is just a selection. There are more. I've never heard of the bloke he's touring with in these photos. Have you?
No, I had not heard of J.Halliday before Brian, either. I read that he is known as the French Elvis which explains the elaborate stage.....Vegas style! I do know that he is also an actor and was recently in a film shown in the states. Did you see this photo? Brian looks so French with his cuffed jeans and guitar over his shoulder. Do you suppose he speaks the language? http://www.johnny14.com/aventures_de_fans/olympia/derniere/brian02.htm
After touring for so long in France with J. Halliday and others, he must have picked up some of the lingo. I LOVE this photo - thanks. It's so cool the way he's got his guitar slung over his back and the carrier bag is a very 'Brian' touch. Love 'im!!
