I haven't decided what shirt to wear when I see him in Indy, but I ALWAYS wear my "flashing" I LOVE PAUL button ! ( from 64 ) I've worn it to every concert since 76. It's always a conversation starter

If they don't want to change the configuration of their multi-million dollar stage, I understand. But a change to the seating configuration would be a good idea. No reason for such unused wasted space on the left and right sides of the platform for 95% of the show. Move the side floors up to the front of the main stage.... In other words: http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i239/rlj1010/paulstage.jpg Granted those people would have an obstructed view for about 9 minutes.... but that's 9 minutes out of a 160 minute show! I think most of the people up front would gladly accept 9 minutes of an obstructed view, to be closer for the other 151 minutes!
GREAT IDEA !!

Yep, I know what you're all saying is right. Remember those Cat in the hat hats a few years ago? I was at a concert that a girl 2 rows up had on. Everyone around her was yelling at her,she ignored them all & was having a great time.

RE: New Stage Design
Well the tour is just starting,so not everyone knows about this yet. I had to e mail that pic showing the stage gap to 2 people that didn't know about it, they're not seeing Paul till July,so they hadn't seen anything about it.....guess they don't come on here

It looks like three to four rows are lost due to that platform. Really, it just depends on how you approach the situation. Unless you paid a lot for first or second row, does it really matter? Probably not. But if I paid $2000 to be in the front row, to me that would be about five feet from the stage. I would not be happy.
It does matter to me, I saved up for 2 3rd row seats, We didn't know about this gap when we bought our VIP tickets. I could have saved alot of money & bought seats on the side. The reason behind buying premium priced seats up front,is to be closer to the stage ! to be closer to Paul ! His stage design people must know this.... You know Paul knows this !! It's like they designed it to keep his fans away from him

RE: Concert Rudeness

A lot of the behavior is a result of an increasing narcissistic society when you come across someone who wants to talk about themselves all through a show, or someone who sits and texts all through a show. Why go to the show at all? I'm sure a lot of those same people are the ones who ask others around them to take a photo of them with their phones with Paul in the background on the stage. The drinking and dope smoking to oblivion is just beyond my comprehension. Why not just stay home and watch the dvd and get p*ssed in the comfort of your own home and not risk a DUI. However, be kind to some people sitting. A friend of mine going to the Texas shows this coming week has a neuromuscular condition, he has a really good floor seat and will not be able to stand the whole show. He hasn't seen Paul play live since 1976 and insisted on getting this ticket. So not everyone who is sitting is capable of standing the whole show.

RE: Concert Rudeness
I think the drunks are the worst,Then the people who have to talk (yell ) to each other the entire time .Then there's the cell phone users calling everyone they can think of... Please don't put down the ones that have to sit down, I have a very bad back & sometimes after standing for awhile I have to sit down for a couple minutes...then I get back up,in pain but back up enjoying Paul

I've seen stage designs change in the middle of a tour. So PM and crew can still modify this stage presentation NOW for the rest of the tour. Charging $1,500.00 and more for the first 5 rows and then having them be back an extra 20 feet is VERY UNCOOL. Had I known this, I wouldn't have paid that and would have gotten a fair priced side seat. THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE! WE NEED TO FLOOD THE PM MEDIA SOURCES WITH NICE REQUESTS TO GET THE HIGH PRICED PAYING FANS BACK UP NEAR THE STAGE THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. DO IT NOW AND DO IT OFTEN.
First world problem.
Right you are, Michelley. Thanks for putting our petty complaints into proper perspective. I'm a happy camper now.
Well, I still think it's uncool to charge these prices, when we didn't know anything about this. I'm one of Paul's fans that has to save & save to see Paul one time during a tour.I almost splurged & got front row,but I wasn't sure of the seating,so I chose 3rd row again. Yes,I am bringing my binaculars to Indy...I want to see Paul ! Who do we complain to ?
-
RE: New Stage Design
So my 3rd row seats are really like having 10th row seats If I wanted 10th row seats I could have saved ALOT of money. Who is this brilliant set designer anyway?? & Paul didn't care about this design being this way for his fans ?

Hmmm,Pictures only the first 15 minutes ? I think that's new. No memorabilia allowed. I always carry with me to all Paul concerts, (& soundcheck) my original sheet music of Michelle...just in case I have a chance to get it autographed Dang
No, the 15 minute thing was in place when I went in 2010. Shelly Lazar told us to ignore that rule and snap away, just no video taping.
OK, When I saw him in 2011,we took all the pics we wanted...& took a short video of the fans on stage with him (shhhh ! )

RE: New Stage Design

I'm in row 3 in Indy, The seat charts I have seen,I can't even find my seats ! The numbers stop then start up again with some missing numbers. I don't see seats 14 & 15 anywhere in the row. I am upset....where are my seats ? that I paid so much for?

RE: Rockshow in Theatres
Last night I got an email from Sirius XM radio saying they were giving away tickets to RockShow at 7:30 pm. I won 2 free tickets for Thursday night,Royal Oak Michigan!

Casual rather than fashion icon works best. I knew those recent jackets reminded me of something : Doesn't he shed those at some point anyway>
He usually wears them for the first song, then they're off ! Why bother

RE: Paul's Past Tours— Reflections
paulfan11:
I've only been able to see Paul twice in concert, (soon to be three in July!) but out of those two, Detroit in 2011 will always be most special to me. I took my mom to this concert and that was the first time she had been able to see Paul live since she saw The Beatles in Detroit in 1964. Just being there with her to experience this concert was amazing. The look on her face when Paul walked out on stage, and the way her eyes got a bit teary when he started to sing "All My Loving" is something I will never forget. We both had a wonderful time and she still talks about this concert.
Great story !!
