In 2011, I traveled with my 3 year old to NYC to see two shows at Yankee stadium. It was VERY hot and humid and because of the crowds on the subway, I carried her the entire time on my back in a baby carrier. Those Ergo carriers are the best! I brought her some ear muffs to protect her ears, but for most of the show (each night) she was fine. About 2/3 way through, she fell asleep on my lap. I was up in the stands where we could sit instead of stand. It was the furthest I've ever sat at Paul shows and the first time I've actually sat down! haha I think you've received some great advice to bring some things that will keep your child/ren busy and give them naps before the shows. Enjoy! I recently went to DC and did not take my now 5 year old to the show and am so glad I didn't. It felt a bit crazy and disorganized getting in and out and my daughter is now much heavier than she was 2 years ago so I wouldn't have been able to carry her the same way. As mentioned by someone else, only you know your child/ren and know what you can or cannot handle.

Btw, Vicks30, I still think your idea was fab - I think the signs were hard to read. We probably needed at least a few bigger signs and then everyone else with the smaller ones. When I tried to pass out mine, everyone said they already had them. Sorry it didn't work out. It's so cool you gave Paul Harold on the piano!!! I hope you get him back...how awesome that would be! Please update us if you do!

The show was great. I was so happy to meet Vicks30 and Ktl1983, his fiance, his sister and mom. There wasn't much time to chat as I got into the stadium late. The whole experience of getting into the stadium was horrible - what a pain in the rear to wait so long only to have to wait in line again for wristbands. I felt so bad for the folks who waited in line and then had scanning problems. Sorry Jen! I feel bad about it, but I saw tons of people with the same issue. Not sure what the problem was. My seat was 2 rows behind Vicks30 and it was a little too off to the side for me and yes, that camera and crane were in the way for me as well. The music was fantastic. I LOVED seeing Paulie again. How I love that man!! I would have enjoyed the show much more if I didn't have this drunk older man sitting next to me and getting too close to me while I was dancing and trying to enjoy the show. It started getting annoying when I could feel his belly on my back and I started telling him to give me more space. He said, "Oh, I'm sorry." He moved back for about a second, but then kept creeping closer to me throughout the show. I wanted to slap him! But I was trying to focus on Paulie. It was the first time I've ever had this happen at a Paul show. It makes me sick just thinking about that drunk idiot. Other than that, I am glad I was able to see Paulie again and that it didn't rain during the show! My highlight was "Your Mother Should Know."

AWESOME! We will be able to combine our efforts to start the singing in our section then! Don't know about you but this is the closest I've ever been . Cannot wait!
I look forward to our combined efforts!! I was closer in Liverpool, but that was different as it was general admission. It's definitely one of the best seats I've been able to get. Sooooooo excited!

Brilliant idea on the signs! I will be in Sec 5 Row 4 seat 15 with four of us in my group. I'll print out a couple hundred signs for us to take. Somehow we have to spread the word to everyone there (who's not on the board or the FB group) about when to hold up the signs. Also totally agree we should all sing!
I'm going to try to bring at least 50. I'm right behind you and your group.

This is really SO exciting! I really this might just work! Now if I can just get him to bring me on stage. I already have a sign made that says: I'm a teacher. Please sign my tattoo for show and tell!" I also made several signs that say things like "Please" & "Do it!" & "Sign the teacher!" On the other side they say "Na Na Na Na" (for Hey Jude). I'm hoping people near me will agree to take a sign and hold them up to get Paul's attention.
LOL, lots of teachers on this board eh? I'm a teacher too! I don't have a tattoo, but I would LOVE a hug, handshake, anything!

Also... One thread was talking about how in some places the audience surprises Paul with a grand gesture. I have no way of knowing how to orchestrate such a thing, but wouldn't it be amazing if.. When Paul stops to take a moment to "drink it all in", the entire audience responds by singing the chorus to Picasso's Last Words. Drink to me, drink to my health You know I can't drink any more. Drink to me, drink to my health You know I can't drink any more Wouldn't that be WILD!
What a great idea!

Generally the numbers run from right to left- facing the stage. Also, I believe there are 30 seats per section. If this is correct, Section 3 Seat 30 and Section 5 Seat 1 would be nearest Section 4.
Okay, thanks for the explanation. It looks like I'm pretty much in the middle of the section. It should still be a great spot either way.

Got the email yesterday about VIP merch too!!
Do they mail that to you ahead of time or give you that when you arrive? If you get it when you arrive, would you mind showing me your VIP stuff? I'll be in your section -- would love to say hello too!
It's being mailed...says it may come before or after the concert. Ringo's was like that last year and his came like a month after the show. Would love to meet up as well tho! We'll have to compile a running list on here next week as the show nears.
Funny that it's like Ringo's too. Cool, yes, let's comple a running list of where folks are located. Will be SO fun!

I forgot to ask, has anyone figured out how the seating works on the field sections? What I mean is, do you know how many seats are in each section and where the numbering starts, from left to right or right to left? I have my fingers crossed that I'm close to Field 4.

Just checked for availability and pulled the following: Field 5 Row 1 Seat 19 $2,000. http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/ticketing/mccartney.jsp
Front Row Package Includes: One front row floor ticket, side section Special entrance Invitation to Sound Check Pre-show hospitality reception Exclusive merchandise item Collectible laminate Onsite event management staff
Wow, I can't believe a first row is still available. If I had the money or if the price was cheaper, I'd be all over that ticket!

*MaccaGirl*:
I managed to get a ticket in Section 3, Row 9. COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED. I missed him the last few times he was in town and have really regretted it. Even though I qualified for pre-sale, I actually had to wait to get tickets until they were released to the general public, which happened to be the day I got paid. I was originally going for the Silver package, but by the time I got to the tickets everything was sold out except for Gold and VIP. I would have gotten VIP if I had enough in my bank account, honestly. I haven't even been to a "real" (stadium or arena) concert before, just smaller shows in clubs and other smaller venues.
Congrats on your great seat! You'll have a great time!
