This was the first LP I bought when I was 13. I played it all the time.
Ah! You were a baby! I was 23 when that album came out!

Do you remember on the vinyl if "Name and Address" ended so abruptly. Made it sound very unprofessional on the CD. Thanks
Yes, it was like that on vinyl too.

RE: London Town - - Another "What if" Album
This was the first LP I bought when I was 13. I played it all the time. I'm not sure Girl's School fits on this LP, but I do like that song a lot. I think dropping Morse Moose and the Grey Goose and adding in Mull of Kintyre would make this a better LP.

RE: What songs are honestly about John?

The whole of 'Monkberry Moon Delight', cryptic, metaphoric, about the whole break-up, the lawsuits, the press drama.
I'm not hearing or reading that in these lyrics which seem free flowing and fun. The only quote I could find from Paul is: When my kids were young they used to call milk 'monk' for whatever reason that kids do - I think it's magical the way that kids can develop better names for things than the real ones. In fact, as a joke, Linda and I still occasionally refer to an object by that child-language name. So, monk was always milk, and monkberry moon delight was a fantasy drink, rather like Love Potion No. 9, hence the line in the song, 'sipping monkberry moon delight'. It was a fantasy milk shake. Can you explain
"Sore was I from the crack of an enemy's hose" "When a rattle of rats had awoken" "I stood with a knot in my stomach" * "Two youngsters concealed in a barrel" "I don't get the gist of your letter" and so on. *Paul McCartney on the Beatles' break-up: "We had to go and fight, which I didn't want, really. [..] It was murderous. I had a knot in my stomach all summer." - Richard Meryman, Life Magazine, April 1971
It seems like a stretch to me, but thanks for pointing that out. That's minimal at best and not enough to say it was about the Beatles or Lennon for me Paul has also said that Too Many People was the only song directed to John. I like Monkberry but I don't think Paul put in a lot of effort into the lyrics. They seem off the cuff and ad-libbed to me

Total bust trying to get tickets--this is becoming a pattern for Paul sales, sadly. However, I can find a multitude available on scalping sites. Awesome. :
sorry to hear you couldn't get tickets for the show yeah...an arena date are in high demand for a mccartney show in the midst of a stadium tour. I think he could easily sell out the Rogers Centre in Toronto anyway...i really liked your 'new' lyric video. very good

Dcshark........how much were the seats in 107? Did you see any other "cheaper" prices?
$295.00 No, I grabbed the first ones that popped up. I wasn't giving them up to search for something else

RE: Pre-Sale Thread - Hamilton
I got lucky with this presale Two regular priced tickets in sec 107.

RE: Gold Package vs Silver Package vs $250 ticket?
I think the VIP tickets are easier to get. But all the Silver tickets that I've pulled up seem too far from the stage for the price. A Gold ticket, which I've done a few times, gets you closer to the stage on the floor. I've had 6th, 7th and 13th row with gold ticket and all were excellent seats So, it depends where you want to sit and how close you want to be to the stage. Floor or stands. Stands might be too far from the stage in a stadium.

RE: Digital Downloads--Is the Redeem Button Broken?
Triplets Love Paul:
^ Hi Don, I am not sure if the downloads expire, I have never experienced such or received a complaint of such. In this particular instance it was the Redeem feature that was not working. Clicking on the Redeem button failed to produce a pop-up box to enter one's code for redemption. I am happy to report that the issue with the Redeem feature has been repaired. Anita
thanks, Anita I'll have to try now that it's working again.

RE: Digital Downloads--Is the Redeem Button Broken?
Do the downloads expire? I purchased the deluxe archives packages, but I've never redeemed any of the HD files. I had a limited amount of disc space, and didn't see the point at the time

RE: New Book: Paul McCartney, The Life
Fan4-45years:
Is this really "authorized"? Anyone know? Phillip Norman's at it again: http://www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/philip-norman/paul-mccartney/9780316269407/
I'm looking forward to this book. His Lennon biography was very good by all accounts.

Just got out Pattie's book and apparently the wedding was announced and planned so quickly that John wasn't invited! The wedding took place in Tucson, AZ during one of Eric's tours.
thanks, Nancy.

RE: 2016 rumors - new music?
I don't like this cover photo. The photo itself is fine but it reminds me Phil Collins records. Not what I expect from McCartney for an album cover

Clapton says they forgot to invite John! I have a hard time imaging that though. Let's see, we'll invite Paul, George, Ringo....is there someone else??
Wedding was in England. John was living in NY . That may have impacted it.
John had no problems flying to Japan in the late 70s
