Hi everyone. Hi Sam. Well, in 3 weeks I'll see Paul in concert in Gothenburg. I cannot wait. Was at EPCOT in Disneyworld and there was a band called "British Invasion" playing in the UK section. There were dressed up as The Beatles, wearing the suits as in Help. The "John Lennon" one had his mannerism and speech pretty accurate. Didn't get to hear the others as we got there too late. Then we were strolling around and saw another stage act and I thought it was another look alike band but it was Eric Burton. I was so excited that I was hearing him sing for the first time. He sounded good. The only thing is he did "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" Reggae style. Sam, I was wondering if you will be back in Liverpool Sept. 1st. I'm contemplating going by myself later in the week of the festival and sticking around for the first week in September if you might be there. PM me if I'm not online when you come back

Swaying Daisy:
Hi dmmedic, When I went to see Paul's concert in Liverpool, I walked around the city by myself several times and felt very safe. I am sure you would be fine. I hope you have a great time in Sweden.
Thanks. Its good to know. I have to cancel the trip to Liverpool for Beatles weak, since I'm now going to see Paul in Gothenburg. I would like to do both but it would be too expensive. I might try to go to Liverpool in September, when Sam is around, although I'll miss the festival. What did you enjoy most, besides seeing Paul of course.

Dear Sam, Thanks for the info. I think I'll cancel my trip for Beatlesfest week, and schedule another time when it is quieter and I can truely enjoy Liverpool. As for GOthenburg, I have a special package which includes Paul's soundcheck as well as being in front with special access. I will let you know when I plan to go to Liverpool. Would love to sit with you and friends for a pint . Just want to make sure that its when your around. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

Hi Sam, Hi everyone. Hope all of you are well. Just read you recent discussion of Paul and aging. I'm glad you guys are civil and resolve things quickly. Its refreshing, after reading some of the other subject posts that get out of hand. Sam, since I'm going to Gothenburg to see Paul, I've postponed going to Liverpool this year. However, I still wish I could see Liverpool. I would have to travel by myself as no one else is able to go. Don't know how Liverpool is for a woman to be there on her own. Part of me doesn't want to cancel my trip. I so torn! Oh well, if that's the worse of my problems, then my life is pretty darn good.

Hi Sam! Finally came on when you were here. Hope all is well with you. I'm going to cancel my plans for the feast in August. My cohort had to cancel, so I would be travelling by myself. I decided to save my money and use it to see Paul in Sweden. I think next year Im going to do the Magical Mystery Tour to experience all of it. Hope you'll come visit Florida before then. Peace in the neighborhood.

By now, Sam is fast asleep. When I stop in, its usually too late and he's already in bed, so instead, I willl say :"Good morning Sam" I'm still raving about your book to others. Thank you for making me feel as though I was there. The Ringo stories are funny. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. I need to time this better. Peace to all of you.

Sam Leach:
Hi Linda (Dmmedic). Whoever told you that is talking rubbish. People in Liverpool are fiercely proud of The Beatles and I've never seen any derogatory letters in the echo so just ignore those who claim different. Hi Sam, thanks for your response. I know you are the one to believe so that's why I asked. Please forgive my ignorance. Also, you can call me Diana (as Linda is not my name) Peace.

Hi Sam. Sorry for the loss of your friend. Hope you are othewise doing good. I was wondering, with all the people that come to Liverpool during the festival, are the locals receptive to it. Or are they tired of being associated with the Beatles. The reason I ask this is because someone on another site said the letters in the Echo are not favorable toward The Beatles. Still planning to go in August, though I'm disappointed you won't be there. Peace in the neighborhood.

Hi Sam, I finally sat down and finished reading your book. It made me feel like I was there. John was such a character. He seemed happier in those days. Those stories of Ringo were funny. I'm glad they were loyal to you. I think you are too much of a gentleman. Brian did not want to share them with anyone. It makes sense what you said about Pete's departure. Brian wanted no obstacles it seemed. I wish they had done more for you though. Glad to hear that Paul always has a special place for you. I, for one, will remind people how big a role you had to play in their beginnings. Cheers to you Sam. "Peace in the neighborhood"

I'm late in posting this Sam, but I remember Bobby Vee very well. Good to hear he is still performing. Always enjoyed his records. Very fond memories of him.

Hey Sam! What's up! Can't wait for my first trip to Liverpool and a pint with you. I'm glad Paul spoke up. He takes so much from the press, especially when it comes to his loved ones. Major respect for him. Hope you are fine. Peace!

Hi Sam & everyone! Tried to vote for your site again Sam but it says I've already voted. About the gangstarap. I feel they are very hypocritical. THey deville women and promote violence agains police then they have the gall to give the peace site. THey may have come from violent neighborhoods but they continue to promote violence to fill their wallets. Instead they should help their neighbor and promote peace but they wouldn't help them make the money they're making now. Just my 2 cents. Peace everyone.

I feel the same Starr. Most of those performers will fade away. Can you even think of who won a few years ago? They just don't realized what an influence the Beatles had on subsequent performers and the new grounds they broke.

The Grammy's attempt to honor the Beatles has so far been pathetic. The opening song was done half hearted. Crowd doesn't seem to care. Then to top it off Timberlake won the award instead of George. Guess I'm getting old but I see nothing original about Justin. He just copies other's style. THe only hightlight was the Paul and Ringo's appearance by video. Paul looks kinda tired although he was entertaining. Ringo looked good, seemed relaxed.
