Now that he's changed his setlist a bit, I think it's time to tour Europe again. It's been 2 years since he toured Europe last. (With all due respect to Australia, Asia etc)

I wondered sometimes how the Beatles would have sound with more guitar distortion, kind of like Queen.
Like shit?

Hey guys, How are you all doing? You're still hanging out here? Do some of you yet remember me? Bjorn, your hair is so long lately! I've been quite busy with my guitar playing. I also sing in these days and I play gigs regularly at our local Singer/Songwriters Guild. And also other gigs, by the way. I have just finished FAWM (www.fawm.org) for which I had to write 14 songs. I'm kinda exhausted now and I'm in my exam year at school, so I've got a pretty busy time at the moment. I don't want to spam my music here, but if you're interested there's a couple of demo-recordings on my bandcamp. www.roydesmet.bandcamp.com I think I would like to record some Beatles covers in the future and maybe collaborate with you guys!
Not much action here lately... I don't remember you really. Glad to see you anyway.
I could write 14 songs in a day, maybe in an hour or two, but I don't think not even one would be great. I'm listening to your music now.
I was quite active here a few years ago. I don't think my Magnum Opus will be in these 14 songs but I thought it was a good practice. And I think there are some nice ones between these songs. Maybe you recognise me by my old avatar:

Quick still from his performance at Knebworth, 1990. Perfoming Birthday, while playing on his Wal 5-string bass guitar.

RE: What would you name Paul's next tour ?
left hand man:
I'd call it the alternative tour! He performs everything except Beatle songs!
I'd not go see it

'call me back again' tour (wants encores)
Yeah! And the setlist whould be something as... ...his current setlist, but it stops after the 6th song, to do the rest in the 25 up and coming encores. How long the gig lasts is up to the ammount of screaming/applause for Paul to come back

RE: What would you name Paul's next tour ?
The 'make a sign and join me on stage'-tour

Right back at ya, Barb! After all, you've helped me add a lot to my Paul photo collection from all of your posts.
Now for Fanny's request. Right now, I've got two from Ever Present Past. I had the first one before you asked. The second used a better quality video. http://i30.tinypic.com/2uetrtk.gif http://i29.tinypic.com/2iaptdu.gif There will probably be more to come when Gifsoup decides to cooperate with me again. I've Had Enough of all the errors on that site!

First post, great forum, very informative! What a phantastic evening with an even better ending. We had FLR2 front row seats, so we where very lucky to be really close to him. He seemed to have a good time and interacted nicely with the crowd. When he joked about them showing off their guitars he actually talked to me (well at least he made eye contact) , when he said "you would do it, right.....". It was just unbelievable. And that was not the end of it. After the 2nd encore when leaving the stage, Paul stopped right in front of us and told his security guy to hand him the CD cover I was holding up to him. He signed it, waved at us and gave it back to the security guy. So yes, we got the only autograpg he gave that evening. At least the only one he gave while on stage. What a phantastic ending of a phantastic evening, I was so wound up, I couldn't sleep all night. If anybody here on the forum has a picture or video of the moment he signed the my CD case, PLEASE share it with me! Thanks! Here is a picture of the case and one more of Paul. Here: Two unreasably big pictures
Loved reading your story! Love the picture of Paul with the Epiphone Casino
You're one lucky fan!

Anyone notice Paul dresses to the left? Maybe only the guys will understand that one but the girls should get a kick out of it
Plus, it's still cool to hear some unreleased instrumentals from Paul as we're waiting for the show. He's been using them since 1993 and I wish he would release them already. Anyone from around Greenville/upstate SC?
How do you mean 'dresses to the left'? I don't know if it's unreleased instrumentals. In Arnhem, December 9th 2009, he used mashups. I believe.

RE: "beatle-esque" songs by different bands
My Little Pony - Song For You (On Your 40th Birthday)
It even mentions the Beatles, and Sgt. Pepper. More than once.
