Well I've just heard 'Wild Honey Pie' for the first time just now, and I'll take Bip Bop over that one any day!

I listened and it at times has a Moody Blues sound to it. A compliment. Great music!
That's great feedback, thanks for checking out the track!

RE: Pipes of Peace 2015 Remaster / Track - by - Track Review
I'd give Average Person a 7, it's great fun and the production is superb, the middle instrumental part I find absolutely exhilarating. And I'd give Hey Hey a 6, it's a perfectly decent instrumental. Tug of Peace is the weakest track, but it still gets a 5, the idea is rather clever if a little hit and miss in it's execution. With regards to ' Many critics love to crush Paul on the "dustbin lid" lyric, ' This is because THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND the meaning of the lyric, actually clever thinking from Paul. To write 'little kid' would have been lazier.

RE: THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
Well surprises (I'm told) include: Denny's songwriting credit on 'Rainclouds' has been removed, and he doesn't get a 'thankyou' from Paul despite all the other guests being thanked in the reissue. This is according to Facebook groups I'm in. It's all happening over there!

RE: Worst line from a McCartney song

"What good is butter if you haven't got bread..." "What good's a curtain without a call..." Eeek. YIKES!!!
Nothing wrong with these lyrics.

RE: Something I don't get about Knebworth 1990
I remember listening to the complete set on earphones on the bus. BBC Radio One were covering his whole set as a live broadcast. The thing I'll always remember is Paul hitting the high note on 'We Got Married' ('living for') as he did on the album. It was a hair on the back of the neck moment!! (On many performances he'd dodge attempting to sing it that way)

Why is no-one talking about this 'new' track. It's wonderful

RE: "Coming Soon" video on Facebook, what could it be?
toris:
Would've been a very, very good opportunity to plug the lesser known The Man rather than, say, Say,Say, Say..... this new video does nothing for me. I like a video to show both a good narrative, and more importantly, the performing artists. I see no reason to be watching the new video again. Surely there was footage on the cutting room floor of the original that could have been used.
The new video is an attempt to make Paul cool with the 'kids'

Video for 'The Man'
Another video with the hashtag #SaySaySay so...
I'd suggest that MPL have seriously missed a trick in not releasing 'The Man' (perhaps a remix?) as a radio single, to promote the POP reissue. It was crying out for single release back in 1984 and I understand an extended 12'' version is still lying in the vaults. Or maybe this has still to come???

RE: THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
Regarding 'Average Person', the middle 8 part starting around 2 mins 30 is one of the most incredible moments of any McCartney record. The song itself overall is fantastic and would have fitted well onto the RAM album. Hence, a bit mad.

RE: THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
Absolutely love 'It's Not On' - great quality for a demo. One of the highlights of the bonus tracks so far. Disappointed that the extended version of 'The Man' has been left off. It was scheduled for release as a single in early 1984 but cancelled.

He would have been better off just as solo Paul. No disrespect but the other members of Wings had no business being in the spotlight with Paul. No one wanted to hear a non-Paul song on an album. But more importantly, Paul would have had more freedom to collaborate with different and more talented partners and players both in the studio and on stage like he has post Wings who would have pushed him. Imo, Wings in a way stifled Pauls creativity a bit and he became lazy.
You forget how major Wings were in the 70's. You can't change history. I adore the non Paul vocals and songs e.g on Speed Of Sound. Wings during the 76 tour were a better live band than The Beatles for sure. And they outsold them during their time together.

Wings were one of the biggest selling acts of the 70's. They outsold The Beatles during their time together. Wings rule!
