RE: New - Track-by-track thoughts
Sir Guy Grand:
This is a very coherent album flows lovely I like it from the beginning to the end. Its like McCartney 11 and Electric Arguments have been filtered through the mixing desk to come up with something that sounds experimental but more polished and finished off than they are . I like the funky and sexy "Appreciate" pity Marvin Gaye is no longer with us this song would have suited him down to the ground . Save Us , Queenie Eye , Hosanna , Alligator and the SPOOKY "Road" I really love . Like David Bowie's The Next Day from earlier this year Paul proves with NEW there's still a lot of life left in these old dogs
I love the album but one thing it isn`t is coherent. You can tell there are 4 different producers at work here, the weakest being Giles Martin with all the filler tracks ON MY WAY, I CAN BET and LOOKING AT HER. My favourites are ROAD, ALLIGATOR, SAVE US AND QUEENIE EYE. Funny that DRIVING RAIN hasn`t been mentioned so far, because that was a brilliant album widely ignored by the record buying public. And in terms of refreshing the typical Macca sound it probably is more similiar to NEW than any other Paul album. Also it rocked just like NEW does.

RE: "New" Reviews
Hi everybody out there ! I've just stumbled across this Board googling..I wasn't aware it still existed with the relaunch of Paul's New Website etc. Sorry for interrupting the thread but is this still a Part of PMcCOM? I thought this had vanished a Long Time ago, and i don't particularily like the fold Out Message boards ON the New PMcom.
