Wow, that was 2 hours I will never get back! The first presale I kept getting error messages about the code, when it was exactly as per the email that I received. Then when second date came, I jumped on it but could not find decent seats. Finally ended up with second night, Oct. 4th, first level, 2 rows above floor. Better than no tickets at all, I guess. I will keep trying for floor and resell the ones I bought today if I can find better. The most important thing is that I AM GOING TO SEE PAUL AGAIN.
some people have been able to upgrade their tickets for other shows by calling ticketmaster. Not sure if this applies to your show, but it's worth looking into so you don't have to go through the hassle of selling.
Interesting! Has this been done during the presales or after general sales or right before the shows?
from my small sample of 2 people. They did way after the general sale. It was in Canada (though they were travelling there for the show) so not sure if it's a Canada thing or a TM thing...
I am in the US and I did this recently with my Ringo concert. I bought the tickets at the end of January (not a presale), and I upgraded last week, so there was a while in between. Not sure how soon you can upgrade. The tickets were for a side section and I read on here about the upgrading thing. I looked at the seating chart for available seats - the rule is that they will upgrade your tickets one time per concert for available seats that are the same price or higher, and you pay the difference. I won't lie, it wasn't easy. It took me almost 2 days of phone calls talking to different people, everyone telling me something different, transferring me (one time I was transferred to a TM in another country!!) but eventually it all worked out and was worth the effort and I ended up with Row 5 Center Stage tickets! (Granted, the cost doubled, as they were VIP tickets, but VIP tickets for Ringo don't even come CLOSE to the price of VIP tickets for Paul!) Good luck!
