Yes but technically MMT has never been released on DVD, certainly not in the UK. The copy everyone buys is an import, you have never been able to walk into HMV or any high street store and buy it, it doesn't exist! Only on online stores and conventions is it over here. So it's a welcome release

The last time he played the Rock In Rio festival, we got a great performance of "She's A Woman."
I didn't know he's EVER played Rock in Rio? And he's only done She's a Woman on the Summer Tour '04 right?
He did she's a woman on the summer 1991 seaside "tour" too

"HMV must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed. Payment is not taken until the point of despatch of the goods to you from our premises in Guernsey. When payment is to be made with E-Vouchers, the E-voucher will be removed from your wallet on placing your order but will not be accepted as payment until the goods are despatched to you. If the order is cancelled or not fulfilled the E-Voucher will be re-credited to your wallet. Once payment has been received HMV will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your registration form. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. HMV s acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract." "HMV are entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our web site. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered before the contract is made (see (b) above) we will contact you as soon as possible by email." Sorry to rain on a parade.
Yea I've already noticed that, I knew they wouldn't HAVE to honour it but I'm hoping that they might possibly. I know it's a slim chance but I can hope...right?
As long as they give you the option of cancelling and not hold you to the new price of £80ish or whatever it will be, then there's no harm in trying is there

Bloody hell! I think you'd need your binoculors even from the front row at these!!!!! Why play Stadiums if you're going to put seats in? Apart from the Kudos of "ooh i'm big enough to play a stadium look at me!!!"

RE: Paul McCartney has officially become an oldies act.
monty--:
As far as I'm concerned, Paul should play wall to wall Beatles at a gig. They were the songs that defined him.
I have to watch what i say as i've had my wrists slapped and told off for being abusive in another thread! Me! i'm not
But in this thread re the quote above - Paul has had a 46 year recording career. Of those 46 years only 8 years were with the Beatles, the other38 are wings/solo. It breaks my heart to see posts like the one i quoted.. unfortunately it seems Paul and a section of his audience also think all there is to him is The Beatles
As great as they were, the rest is as great too.. some better

RE: Paul McCartney has officially become an oldies act.
It is 5 long years since Paul played the UK (therefore we haven't had helter skelter, too many people, etcetc from the last few tours), if you don't count the mini-hardtogetin- tiny promo shows last year then from the liverpool set these 6 songs have never been playedin the UK before. 1. Hippy Hippy Shake 4. Flaming Pie 10. Dance Tonight 13. In Liverpool 14. I'll Follow The Sun 24. A Day In The Life Yes i admit, i would love more variety when it come to his next tour (more solo, wings, diff beatles.. and i agree with those who said he could cull some of the regular beatles songs and most casuals wouldn't mind as long as he kept x-y-and-z).. but i will go no matter what i admit that too.. But for a one off return to liverpool show i think the set was pretty much what most of the audience wanted. We'll have to see on the next UK tour, 5 years is a long wait and i hope he plays up north (hello Manchester!) as well as london.

RE: WINGS FUN CLUB - recollections?
The thing i always hated about geoffs reports were he slagged off british audiences, and i found that very insulting
It was in his concert write up for the 1990 tour (or 93?) and he said we were all crap and sat down and were rubbish fans compared to abroad!!!! Someone official like that should not generalise. I stood up and sang and was in heaven at my 1990 and 93 show. Anything he wrote for the club after that seemed to have that same slant. But as i said on the other pages here i LOVE the club, and i agree with those who say the days before the internet you would look forward to this stuff so so so much.
Riggers:
I was a member for only 1 year
Think it was mid 90's . I received a great 10x8 black and white picture of Paul and Linda, still have it now, framed with a Wings Fun Club letter head, Signed by them both of course
You received a genuine signed photo? How?! I was a member for the last 8 years of the club, and never got anything like that..!
