RE: Original 1962 BEATLES recording
joyce:
http://news.yahoo.com/original-recording-beatles-goes-auction-142146214.html I'd love to hear it!
On one side of the disc, Epstein wrote the names of the songs on the label, misspelling them each time. He attributed: "Hullo Little Girl" (Hello Little Girl) by John Lennon & The Beatles, while on the flip side, he wrote: "'Til There Was You," (Till There was You) by Paul McCartney & The Beatles. Paul's MPL owns the pub rights to "Til There Was You." "Hello Little Girl" (Len/Mac) is owned by Northern Songs Ltd c/o Sony ATV And it's on Anthology 1

RE: MICHAEL JACKSON'S ATV WILL BE SOLD COMPLETELY TO SONY!!!
RMartinez:
alexio91:
So..will Paul ever be able to get the rights to the whole Beatles catalogue ?
No. George's family will always own his songs since he had separate publishing from John and Paul. Lennon's estate will always have a stake in the Lennon and McCartney catalogue. But Paul could get control over the songs, maybe eventually. He had a chance many years ago and blew it, as did Yoko.

**_Why buy back a company you did not sell and help created for FREE? They'll get back the songs for free.

In 2018, John, Paul, George and Ringo will get control of their songs, per year. Yoko, Sean and Julian have control on the early Len-Mac songs With Universal (aka Richard James). Paul and the Lennon family own the copyrights to Love Me Do, PS I Love You and Fancy My Chances.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S ATV WILL BE SOLD COMPLETELY TO SONY!!!
http://news.gnom.es/pr/sony-and-jackson-estate-reach-agreement-for-sony-to-acquire-remaining-half-of-sonyatv-music-publishing The Estate noted that the transaction will not affect its continuing substantial interests in other music assets, including all of Michael Jackson?s master recordings as well as Mijac Music, the publishing company that owns all of the songs written by Michael Jackson as well as songs by some of his favorite songwriters and artists that were acquired by Michael during his life. In addition, the Estate will also retain 10% ownership interest in EMI Music Publishing. Meaning, he still owns the early Len-Mac songs (just two: "Love Me Do" and "PS I Love You" MPL/Lenono owns the copyrights) and Motown's Jobete.

RE: RIP George Martin
busher:
Very sad news but what a great life... classy and influential Have to admit and maybe just me, but it's a bit puzzling that Ringo tweeted it first without official notice from the family...or Beatles.com...anyway...not important now...
Well, Paul is not pouting.
