I had lots of technical issues and was finally successful after about 30 minutes. I was using two computers and one of them got me through to the fan pre-sale but the other one only showed me the VIP packages just like the poster above. I did see some regular tickets but was more interested in VIP anyway. I didn't like the location of soundcheck tickets I was offered so I finally went with gold. Lucky for me it saved me $1,000, although now the "perfect" seat is available! Moral of this story is keep trying.

RE: Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors

I'm going to have a stroke trying to figure this out before tomorrow morning... I can either splurge on a Hot Sound ticket for one show and do that by myself. Or see him in both Portland and Seattle with family (they won't spend that much for soundcheck). If you had to choose... what would you do? I've dreamed of sound check for so long... but two shows in a weekend?? After a three year drought!
I would do hot sound, assuming you get a row 2-4 CENTER seat. If you want to join friends or family for another show, just get the cheapest tickets ($65?). It will be a completely different (but fun) experience.

Oh wow, what a dilemma. I am definitely going to do Fresno. I WANT to do soundcheck....it is my bucketlist. But I want hubby to go with me, but he doesn't care about soundcheck, but he wants to see Paul, and I want him to sit with me. arrrggghhh. I wish I knew if HE was going to come to a closer venue, but what if Fresno is the closest he will get? What if I do Fresno, and then find out he is coming closer? This is what will keep me up tonight.
If you go to Fresno, then he comes closer, you get to see him twice! I always said I would do soundcheck once, and I did, but it was Candlestick. Huge venue and huge number of people. The experience wasn't that great. But I got a nearly perfect 4th row center seat, so the concert itself was exceptional, except for the people in the 3rd row with all of their signs. Bottom line, I don't regret the cost at all. And now may consider soundcheck in a smaller venue. Can't help your dilema with the husband. Me, I would just get soundcheck and let him sit wherever

San Jose would have been awesome, I work within walking distance of the arena. But like you said, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. I was thinking Portland when the rumors started, but Fresno is driveable so a money saver for me. I've heard ticket prices will be about the same as last tour in US: floor and low sides $250, gold ~$600, soundcheck $1500, first row $2k. Plus fees of course.

Anyone familiar with Savemart Center? According to the Ticketmaster chart it appears Section 1 Low seat numbers would be more towards the middle and in section 2 the high numbers would be toward the middle. Just wondering if anyone knows more info about seating. Thanks!

Winchester .308 is a rifle. The Winchester Mystery House is in San Jose, CA. Perhaps this is the 308 clue? I'm sure just wishful thinking on my part since it's my home town

Ahhhh, what announcements?

RE: Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors
According to Wikipedia and my counting, Paul's 308th concert was in Chicago on the US tour. I saw a mention of Chicago but don't know if it was a response to the clue or not!

RE: McCartney's Candlestick Park Footage Gets Virtual Reality
During the show, I wondered what those weird looking robotic devices were -- now I know. I should be able to see myself in the crowd shot, but unfortunately the large lady in front of me, holding up her hands/taking pictures the entire song, pretty much blocked me out. Luckily with the off center angle, she didn't block me from clearly seeing Paul

RE: Paul with little ones - advice please?
Soundcheck + concert is a very long day for a 4 yr old. Hopefully she doesn't get too bored during the waiting around times (which there will be some). Unless she's afraid of fireworks/loud noises, I wouldn't be overly concerned with L&LD, since she'll have ear protection. Just let her know what to expect so it doesn't shock or scare her.

Thanks for calling them about this. It seems to be every venue is different, and no one can seem to give a definitive answer because they blame the promoter -- not knowing how they will number the moveable seats. Anyway, glad I didn't buy the flr R with high seat number. At this point I hope it sells out very quickly when general sale starts, and maybe he'll add a second show
I wondered if you bought it or not. More & more the message from them is buy a ticket & be surprised if you get a seat you like. I wanted to pass on what the rep said about the strange box in front of front row. She said it was just the barrier space, no seats go there.
No, a couple of years ago I bought Gold seats for Brooklyn. They were in about the 10 row but were so far over to the side it was a pretty bad experience. The main issue was the video cameras on robot arms. Blocked most of my view of Paul. Decided from then on I would only get center section seats, or very close to it, even if further back.

They put up a X spot to enlarge the seat chart & now I see the seat for $1500.00 is in section front left Row 6 Seat #1 & seat #1 is all the way out to the end of the row. Pricey for row 6 outside.
What site did you find the seat numbers on? I'm interested in a seat in floor R but think it's all the way to the end (high number) but not sure.
I phoned AirCanada Center & talked to a lady from customer service about this. I complained about no seats on the chart, she gave the same old excuse, too many complaints if something goes wrong & the seats aren't exactly right..... She also told me she worked some concerts & its been her experience that seat #1 will be in section FLR L (left) ( next to section 109) and seat numbers will go across all sections & end in section FLR R at the outside aisle at approx seat 50 or 60. So what I thought about seat #1 seems correct, but it is news to me that the numbers would go clear across but thats how they generally do it she says. Best I could do. Guess we have to get use to it, the venues like doing it this way & so do the artists. Their phone: 416-815-5982 Fan Center for Air Canada

The Amex presale is just as frustrating as yesterday...
I found much more offerings today than yesterday. In fact there are still seats (at least single ones) available.

In addition to Toronto & Detroit, my guesses are Buffalo & Columbus. No clue on the 5th one though...

Agreed, I heard nothing but good things from the younger crowd around where we were and after Outside Lands in 2013 as we were walking out of the park. I even had a younger co-worker rave about his performance the following Monday and they were not really a Paul fan at all. They were after that night! I don't get this attitude that some have that Paul shouldn't play to the younger crowds. Why can't the younger crowds be exposed to his music at festivals? Doesn't make any sense.
Did you hear the fans singing Hey Jude as we were walking through the tunnels exiting GG park? That was pretty cool and most of the crowd was <30.

RE: FOTR ticketing?
My last post on this subject and I'll go away Just one example for one specific concert: it wasn't just one photo, there were two or three. Second, the FOTR group were in row 3. I was online as soon as tix went on sale, best I was offered was row 4. The row 3 ticket said $500 the row 4 ticket said $1500, same section. Coincidence? Maybe. I don't know you thenightfish, so none of my comments are directed toward you. But some people seem to know where he's going to be before anyone else, and they always seem to get great seats. Makes me think someone knows someone. Again, I have nothing against that, but this is what I think. Is it true? Who knows/who cares? Just my opinion. The OP asked a question and I just replied how I feel.

RE: FOTR ticketing?
Just to be clear: same show same ticket in this case -- pictures posted showed $500 my ticket showed $1500. I actually paid a little more than that with the fees, but my ticket just showed $1500. I'm not naming names, or pointing fingers but it's obvious some folks have an in with tickets. More power to them. I have been online exactly the time ticket sales open and have been shut out -- other times I have gotten decent tickets -- too many times to count. It seems against the odds that 20-30(??) people can get tickets next to each other in row 3 randomly.
