That was painful, but I got it! The floor seats that came up were too far back for someone 5'4" so I got this: Section 102 (Reserved), Row K, Seat 19 (Seated)! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're seat 11 & 12 on K. I think they'll be great seats!
Section A, row 16...could be better... ...could be worse.
Geeeeez! At least you have seats!!! :
I was hoping for the first 10 rows, but since I can't afford the VIP packages, that was wishful thinking on my part, premium membership or not.
You didn't do bad at all, I paid twice what you did for sect b, row 13!!

Just booked a Travelocity package. Staying at The Millenium Hotel on South 4th Street.
Just a warning- we stayed there this summer, and ended up paying more in parking than we did for the room. They have a garage across the street that charges an arm and a leg.
I'll be taking a cab. What did you think of the hotel otherwise? I'm now reading a bunch of on-line bad reviews and starting to think I made a mistake. Might ask travelocity if they can book a different hotel.

I was hoping the pioneer members wouldn't have to wait until 10 AM for a shot at the hot seat packages!!!!
-
RE: Paul, Scottrade Center, St. Louis, November 11th - ARCHIVE
Now if we can just get the price of the hot seat packages. I didnt pay any wheres near in 2010 what someone quoted earlier in this thread. Bought front row VIP with soundcheck for the first Philly show and paid around $1,200, I think. Bought the gold hot seat for Charlotte which turned out to be a great seat for around $600. I believe. I have to work tomorrow anyhow. Only took off Wednesday. (Need to save a day for November)

RE: Paul, Scottrade Center, St. Louis, November 11th - ARCHIVE
I have to take off from work to catch the pre-sale. Do you guys think the web site pre-sale for the "pioneer" members will be Tuesday or Wednesday? I really hate this. We should should get some kind of notice.

For those looking for a deal - I just got a hotel for $55/night on Hotwire.com. It's the Millennium (3 stars). It doesn't have the best reviews on Tripadvisor I've since discovered. But .9 miles from the arena and CHEAP! Next cheapest I saw was $114/night.
sold out on hotwire allready, very expensive to book directly

For others, they enjoy the whole concert experience. Paul performing live is the thrill.
Very true. I remember quite vividly all of Paul's concerts: the exciting new rumours which then came true, the thrill of buying the tickets, the hours I spent in lines making new friends, the joy of running across the stadiums to be as close as possible to the stage, the surprise of friends and family when they saw me on TV, the newspapers, t-shirts and other souvenirs I got in each city... the list just goes on and on.
We feel exactly the same in the US, and go through ALL those emotions too. Well, minus the running across the stadium bit, shame he doesn't do more GA. Which is why this experience needs to be shared more.
He did a fantastic GA show in Nova Scotia in Canada, also playing "Mull of Kintyre" there which got the many people in the crowd with Scottish heritage quite misty. 50,000+ running across a park trying to get a good spot, almost getting trampled, standing arm to arm with people crunching up against you, thinking if they push you a bit harder the laws of science will disappear and they'll be able to move through solid objects...and then Paul comes out 6 hours later, after the three opening acts and all is forgiven. I would definitely do another GA show, especially another outdoor one, as this one was.
The Hardrock Casino show in las vegas was general admission. Never again. Paid good money for VIP tix so I could get ahead of the pack only to have them push and "dance" thier way in front of you. I couldn't breath and was tempted to club somebody if I got elbowed one more time. lol, You could see how worried Paul was. Then to add insult to injury I had to read on here when I got home that I was too old if I didn't enjoy the general admission.

Well hopefully Paul repeats what he did in 2010 and heads north into the states after his South American dates.

So I'm not the only one having problems with the new site? I got an e-mail about the the new site and a temp password. Joined as a premium member but no passwords I had would work. Had to do the change password thing. Now I can get in, but as I try to explore I have to keep signing in. Couldn't find a link to this fan message board either, It said I have a page, but I can't access it. The message section was flashing, but went I clicked on it it said I need friends first, lol, Need help Martin!!! I read posts how great this new site is, but I'm just getting more frustated. need someone younger than me to show mw how to navigate this site, lol
The site, when operating fully has aspects like facebook in it - the area "My Page" found by clicking your username in the log in section will take you to a "Wall" like area. There will be no link to the message board as such as we're heading stright in there to be part of the site rather than as an independant area as we are now. The integration was delayed to allow us to thrash out these settling in issues first. Martin
I signed in and clicked on my username "MarkinSouthJersey" and nothing happened. Guess they are still working the bugs out. I never know if I'm doing something wrong or if its not working properly. Thanks

RE: PAUL AND NANCY ARE MARRIED!
(I know this is the wrong forum, but this is the only forum I go to ) Ex-Beatle McCartney to serenade heiress bride Email Story Print 2 hours ago Loading... Share No Thanks Must Read?Thank YouYes 2 File photo of former Beatle Paul McCartney and his fiancee, New York heiress... LONDON ? Former Beatle Paul McCartney marries American heiress Nancy Shevell in London on Sunday and will serenade her with a song written in her honor, media reports say. McCartney will wed the divorced New Yorker in a civil ceremony at London's Marylebone Register Office before 30 invited guests, ahead of a reception in his back garden in north London, the reports say. The 69-year-old singer-songwriter, whose success in writing some of the world's most enduring pop classics with the Beatles has helped him to amass a fortune of hundreds of millions of dollars, is marrying for the third time. He and Shevell, 51, posted wedding banns last month in the same place where McCartney married his late first wife Linda in 1969, at the height of the Beatles' fame. Linda died of breast cancer in 1998. His second marriage, to former model Heather Mills, ended in acrimonious divorce in 2008. A fridge filled with champagne was delivered on Saturday to the house in the upmarket neighborhood of St John's Wood -- within a stone's throw of the Abbey Road studio where the Beatles recorded most of their albums. The couple went to a local synagogue where Shevell, who is Jewish, received a blessing, before dining at a floating Chinese restaurant with family and friends. McCartney's spokesman declined comment on Saturday, but McCartney himself briefly spoke to reporters outside his home, saying: "Hi guys, thanks for coming out. We're looking forward to it." Asked if he was nervous about the big day, McCartney laughed and said: "Don't be silly, now. Of course not," according to the Sunday Mirror. The choice of wedding date seemed especially poignant as Sunday would have been the 71st birthday of John Lennon, McCartney's songwriting partner, who was gunned down in New York in 1980. As well as the new song, he plans to sing "Let it Be," which he sang to Shevell on one of their first holidays together three years ago, and then her favorite, "Let Me Roll It," according to the Sunday Mirror. McCartney's fashion-designer daughter Stella made Shevell's dress and helped create the three-course organic vegetarian menu, the paper reported. McCartney has a son, two daughters and a stepdaughter from his marriage to Linda, and a daughter from his marriage to Mills. All his children will be at the wedding, and his brother will be best man, the Mirror said, adding that the couple would honeymoon in the Caribbean.
