RE: Boston, MA - Fenway Park - July 9, 2013 - ARCHIVE
Paul just keeps doing the impossible...topping himself repeatedly!!! Loved every single moment....And yes, On "Maybe I'm Amazed" he did a brilliant job with it!!! Better than usual...maybe the humid air was good for his 'pipes'...
Great pics everyone has been posting... fun to see them the next day! I wish I took more...but I was too busy watching the show!
Nice to read those wonderful reviews from the Boston newspapers, hope Paul see them too!

RE: Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
Paul back at Fenway Park would be another 'dream come true'!!! Getting to relive one of the best days of my life would be mindblowing!!! Can't wait for official confirmation!

RE: Tattoo signatures - yay or nay?
[quote="Furlow47 My thinking is: Perhaps Paul is calling younger people on stage because he likes feeling that he's still relevant - even with those who weren't around to witness Beatlemania. Maybe in a way he expects those who've been lucky enough to witness his entire career in real time to be his fans, but it's something special to see those who were born in the 80s, 90s, etc. admire him so much. Just a thought. Off my soapbox now.
Paul is wonderful to be doing this kind of thing during a concert no less......but he should be less discriminating when choosing his "subjects"... ........and BTW, I'm not a "younger" fan who got "lucky" last year.

RE: Brian Ray Archived

RE: "Triplets Love Paul" with Paul!
lindafan:
With the holiday season upon us,I wanted to pull this thread up. There are some new members who might not know about the "miracle of the triplets." This is a beautiful, heartwarming story of three INCREDIBLE children and one AMAZING man. When you have time, read through the thread. I GUARANTEE it will make your day. If you're feeling down, losing hope and want to believe in something or someone ...
How can this thread NOT put a smile on your face!!! So amazing!
(Great that these threads are still here, no less!)

RE: Halifax, NS - Halifax Common - 11th July 2009 - ARCHIVE
I think the bottom line here, regarding the setlist, is Paul didnt' plan and execute a formal tour at all.........this seems to have been quite a bit "on a whim"...........so, he didn't spend time picking out songs for a big overhaul, and then spending the time rehearsing and incorporating the stage to pull it all together............that's my 2 cents.......fini!
......and I consider myself very fortunate that he's doing any of these shows. I felt cheated when his last tour can to an abrupt end.......and was expecting the second leg that never happened, never mind Paul hitting other countries........so, I get to see him soon, my wishes were answered!

RE: Halifax, NS - Halifax Common - 11th July 2009 - ARCHIVE
I'm passing on this event....................although I just tried to "buy" a ticket and they are still available!? Nova Scotia, so close, yet so far away
This appearance doesnt' seem to be well known and publicized........and it's rather obscure (no offense to Halifax
)

Chicago Tom:
I just wish he would do a short tour like he did in 2002.
*Ditto* ~sigh~...........I'm at the point of accepting, no tour will again, materialize from Paul. The vast majority of his fans simply cannot go to him, in the manner he has been performing at unusual venues/events.........unless Paul maps out a tour, giving us (me!!) a chance to line up a show or two, it can't happen.........and that's the most frustrating part of this. I have "a life" that I can't drop on a whim........
A short tour would at least give more fans a shot at seeing him.........please Paul?

Halifax, NS - Halifax Common - 11th July 2009 - ARCHIVE
Not sure if there's any truth to this............but, you never know where Paul will pop up these days! Gosh, he likes to play off the "beaten-track" for sure!!! No offense to Nova Scotia! http://www.metronews.ca/halifax/local/article/227254--paul-mccartney-may-announce-halifax-concert-date-sources MOD EDIT This show was confirmed some time ago and the first pages here are about the location, ticket purchasing and local excitement ahead of the concert. You can fast forward to the start of concert day itself by going to this post reporting the sound check details here: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2196757#2196757 You will be able to read as-it-happens reports, set lists, personal member reviews, press reports and view members photographs and personal video clips in due course from that point.

RE: David Lynch Foundation Concert
PodgeTheBear:
Pawel:
has anybody posted "I Saw Her Standing There" on youtube, please
David Lynch read a brief poem just before "I Saw Her Standing There". I thought it was going to be like the Skeleton's poem with the band playing as he recited, but it was too brief, only a few lines. Then Paul said it was time to go home and to bed, but not before some Rock and Roll...with "I Saw Her Standing There". Very awesome! The Programs were free also. You don't see that at many concerts now-a-days. I still can't believe the whole weekend wasn't a dream. Podgie (what a time!) Monkey
Podgie, What an awesome weekend for you..............somehow, you ALWAYS come out "smelling like a rose".........Enjoy your "Paul-high", it'll probably carry until the next time
