Yes, very true. But it also created a huge demand for tickets when he did go back on the road. A break from gigs will do ticket sales in some markets some good. In the meantime, McCartney should play markets he has never played or has not played in years or even decades. Like Albuquerque, Austin, Tucson, San Diego, Australia, Japan, etc. And give South America and New York City a rest!!!
Or how about just smaller venues or just ONE show at a place like Horsens, not TWO. I still don't get it why he cancelled both shows. Why not just one and let the people from the second gig go to the first one as long as there are enough seats. Or if he sold 20.000 tickets for the first show with a capacity of 30.0o0 people and maybe 15.000 for the second show, why not let 10.000 with tickets for the second show go to the first show and the other 5000 maybe can't even come (due to time, work, flight etc.) or will get their money back?
