so in essence, you're spending millions and millions a year for an expensive welfare case. You probably wouldn't even miss them if England had the balls to get rid of them.

I don't see it as being disrespectful. Sometimes the British are to stuck up for their own good. I don't see how you can have royalty and still call yourself a democracy.

RE: WINGS FUN CLUB - recollections?
I loved the Wings Fun Club and then the Paul McCartney Fun Club. Just knowing Linda was around then and that part of it is a good memory and of course getting the Fun Club ID cards, I still have my original. And it was just Fun. Linda took all the fun with her.

Wow, thanks Mark, that was a cute clip
You know, he was quite handsome??? I was probably so smitten with Paul.....I couldn't see the forest for the trees
nellie apple: that's an incredibly handsome shot of George....probably the best I've ever seen. Funny, I use to go out with a guy that looked just like him in that picture. Check out that gold hoop earring in his right ear....pretty cool huh?
I remember a scene in Help, when they are sitting at the bar and George says something like he is noticing girls winking at him more, and then he turns to Paul and says, it used to be you didn't it. He did get more handsome as he aged.

Actually, I don't have! The difference between online and real life is so far off! So, mind your own business and move on!
Then you're the biggest phony there ever was, that's another kind of therapy. Someone in your family should have you committed.

You have alot of issues. You should try anger management therapy.

Democrats and Republicans, they are all the same. I think the only "change" we are going to see is skin color.

Agree with you there! All the more reason for me to vote for LESS government. Vote McCain! If the democrats retain control in Congress, McCain will never get less government, will never get anything done. It's all a smoke screen anyway, under Reagan and both Bushes, the government grew bigger and BIGGER. It's not "that" Republican Party anymore.

Ummm.....are you referring to the very recent massive redistribution of wealth from the american taxpayers (mainly middle class) to the investors and FAT CATS
of Wall Street? Or are you concerned that the middle class could possibly get their money back and the corruption and greed would be all for nothing?
What do you mean get their money back? Who took it and how?
I suggest you read up on the current financial crisis and bailout. You need to get up to speed.
Oh OK, I understand now, it was only the middle class that lost money in the financial crisis and bailout.
:
Lots of people lost money in the crisis and bailout and we will all be paying for a very long time....all due to the failed economic policies of the republicans and Bu$h/McSAme
Sounds like a broken record....Look back to the Clinton administration if you want to see where things began to fail. This gets so old to have all the blame placed on the Bush administration. It shows a lack of true research on the matter.
ok ..here's another assignment go back as far as reading Ayn Rand, then read about her disciple Alan Greenspan , then Reagan. To be thorough you might even read about the great depression in the US and the monetary policies that led to it (very similar to today). Also you might read Greepspans mea culpa about his ideology and how it contributed to the current crisis. That should keep you busy.
You're saying that the policies of 30 years ago (28 years of prosperity) all led to the Financial Collapse and that it had nothing to do with democrats forcing lending policies to folks who couldn't possibly pay?
Both parties are responsible for the mess we are in. The American government in General is incompetent, that's why all branches have very low approval ratings, they are all idiots.

It doesn't matter what either of them say, once they get into the White House, they will be singing the same song and it won't sound like anything either of them are saying now.

Nelle, I understand. I'm completely jaded by all politics going on. It seems that our pols act like 'little kids' arguing, fighting with each other, etc. I don't think I'm voting this election. It appears that no one in Washington is listening to us anymore. Cindy is much more of a 'political animal' than I'll ever be. She's trying to change my mind about not voting this election. Not sure if she will. Guess I'm just apathetic?
nellie apple:
Viv! I stopped voting almost 15 years ago! Whoever wins--- my congratulations! I am a registered voter but we'll see if I will vote this time
There are still other options beside Obama and McCain. Personally I'm voting for Ralph Nader. No matter who you vote for, just vote and keep democracy alive.

Bill Clinton says he understands Palin's appeal Monday, September 22, 2008 - Page updated at 03:06 PM By KAREN MATTHEWS Associated Press Writer Bill Clinton said Monday he understands why Sarah Palin is popular in the heartland: because people relate to her. "I come from Arkansas, I get why she's hot out there," Clinton said. "Why she's doing well." Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin's appeal by adding, "People look at her, and they say, 'All those kids. Something that happens in everybody's family. I'm glad she loves her daughter and she's not ashamed of her. Glad that girl's going around with her boyfriend. Glad they're going to get married.'" for complete article: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politics/2008195867_apbillclintonpalin.html
Was he smoking a cigar when he said that.

Yesterday I wore a Soccer mom for Sarah Palin tshirt to my son's soccer game here on the Peninsula in San Mateo county and did I get stressed out nervous looks. I had one lame granny staring me down and I just grinned at her. I laughed because I turned away and I saw her telling her husband "look there it is a Sarah Palin shirt." (He was wearing an Obama button.)OH I love it.... as one of the radio talk show hosts says," Irritating one bay area liberal at a time." As UCdavis said it is so funny to see them panic. My car has a McCain sticker and my purse a McCain/Palin pin and my keychain says McCain and I love making sure it is visible wherever I go. See them sweat...LOVE IT! 9/21/2008 6:07 PM PDT http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/09/21/MNPP130KA7.DTL&feed=rss.news As for me, Andy - I do not have any candidates bumpersticker on my car - even though, I did get one in the mail. And I'm not into political tee-shirts either - but I do have several for the Beatles and Paul
Just wondered, how many people here are bumpersticker free?
I have an anti-fur bumper sticker. Ever since Bush/Cheney got in office, bumper stickers have really declined. People are afraid of freedom of speech. Very sad.
