Hello! I see that in my absence the topic died. And the main question and the answer is no. Have not figured out why so many official texts of this song. It's a pity. Or Sir Paul did several times to change the text, or it is simply irresponsible to publish their works. One out of two.

He says: She got two left feet One blacked out eye in the center of her bald-headed forehead She's walkin' in neutral, drinking Monkberry Moon Delight Why you look at me with seven brown eyes?
Thank you! Wow, what a nonsense! And in the song a lot of differences from the songbook RAM? And a lot of differences from what Paul sings?

By the way, anybody can say that Jay Hawkins says at the end of the song? What phrases he cries? Our translators can not make out the words.

And in this version (no music) you can clearly hear what he sings. "Billy Budapest" not "Phyllis" etc.
Sander1311, did you listen to this?
Oh sure. I gave the link here. I hear "Billy Budapest". I can not hear "Phyllis". "Phyllis Budapest" sings Jay Hawkins. He sings as in the songbook RAM. But not quite. For example, he sings: "of an enemy's hose". The PAM songbook - "with my head in this hole", etc.

I personally had the impression that the text in the RAM songbook was published by ear. That is, listen to songs and then wrote the word under the notes. And write words as heard. And that's why Jay Hawkins sang as in the songbook RAM. But at the same time and has differences from the text in the songbook RAM. The devil himself will not understand!

Paul's official site says "super doorsy" whatever the heck that is! http://www.paulmccartney.com/albums/songs/monkberry-moon-delight But, it sounds like "super dooray" to me, which is what is written in the RAM songbook. http://vk.com/doc13818497_109727328?hash=8ff72235c889221be7&dl=f9d592cd260198dd3e
Can not you see that on the official website a clear mistake? This text is reprinted from the songbook "RAM" 1971. It says "Super dooray". The letters A and S on the keyboard are close. Just missed the mark when printed. There is another mistake - the beginning of the second verse is missing "Well I". This is due to the fact that both are couplet on page 19, and "Well I" - page 23.

In this, the handwritten original draft, Paul writes "ponys" and crosses it out. He meant "pony's" or "ponies" You know, a pony is a young horse. https://yadi.sk/i/yQUsI_npkvVaV
Yes, exactly. I did not notice that there is "s". Thank you. Okay, but what is "Super dooray" - "a brilliant expression of 70"?

You all know this is a nonsense song, right?
So it seems. Only my original question was about why so many official texts of this song?
And yet, someone will say what it is in English, the word "ponyo"? It is, in a hand-written draft of the song.

Wow! This is what we 70 did not know English, and the tapes were very bad-quality , so heard "My very moody life" instead of "Monkberry Moon Delight" and "My love" instead of "Wild life." I never thought that native speakers of English may well be confused words. Excuse me. Laughing I like My Very Moody Life ..great name for a song!!
Sweetie, we were talking about our interpretation of the meaning of the song, not specifically what words we heard. (earlier in the thread we were doing that)

First, you download photos to your computer. Then you go to a site like photobucket.com and create an account. Then you can upload your photos to that account and easily copy & paste the photos to this site. You can also email them to people. The are other options such as "direct link."
Thank you! I created an account on photobucket.kom. Uploaded pictures there. And send them to the site fails. Okay, postpone the issue.
