      sankavarmuch:

Just had a great time with Sir Paul in DC (22nd row center at start, and ended up approx 10th row during the second encore as people in front were leaving)! Later this week will be my 20+ time seeing Ben Folds, along with 20+ times for Barenaked Ladies. This would have been an unbeatable double bill in 1996 -- hehehe -- but BNL will be more nostalgia than anything else since they split with Steven Page. Still to come in the summer of oldies (but goodies): Huey Lewis and the News (in Atlantic City) and then (whatever is still left of) Styx (the band that got me started playing my own music) in AC. If I have any money left, Matthew Sweet will cap off the summer in a small venue in Philly. Love. My. Summer.

Paul aboslutely KIlled it in DC!!! I could've had free tix for Huey Lewis at Harrah's but the date didn't work out...that's a really great venue if you've never been. Is Styx over at The Borgata? They usually come thought here every year...never saw them though!

Yes...Styx is at Borgata. We decided to go to that and Huey Lewis well before planning a weekend in DC w Paul. So glad I did because I need something to look forward to now that Paul is away from the east coast. Tommy Shaw (and James Young) are still with them, so it should be fun. Problem with AC shows ( I saw Ringo's all star band there in 2004ish) is many people are on comp tix, and they don't like it when you stand. Me...I enjoy live music so much more when standing!

      vicks30:

We got to the stadium early, got our field wristbands and got bored (and claustrophobic) at the tailgate party, so we decided to leave and walk around. We waited for a pretty long time at the limo watch. My friend stood on the curb. I got bored with it and sort of hung back a bit near the truck entrance. I saw Brian Riddle (security) standing outside, so with a plan, I approached him. I had purchased a medium-sized stuffed grasshopper "Harold". I brought him to the show in hopes of convincing someone from the crew to put it on Paul's piano- for a laugh.

That was amazing. Paul looked at your Harold, kind of turned it around to examine it, and then nodded in a show of pleased surprise at the placement. It was a true spontaneous moment in the show! If anyone sees a photo of Paul in the coolest pose of the night, I'd love to see it. He took the bass in his right hand and held it out pointing to 10 o'clock, and the pointed up at it with the left hand. It was so cool...

      Michelley:

Sorry if I'm writing too much, but there was so much to like about this show. OK, one more bit of criticism: Paul still needs a good haircut. And I miss his cute suspenders. I think he does too. He spent a lot of time, pulling up his pants. But the long jacket and black jeans ensemble is excellent.

I noted the sometimes awkward tucking of shirt and pulling of pants. . I also noted that Paul seemed to have an especially itchy scalp...probably the humidity! It was my first Paul show. It was sooooo fun!

Did a bunch of people leave early?

I noticed a bunch of people leaving during the encores. It was 11:30, so I suppose it's understandable. But these were people around me in row 10 section 3. Not sure I could do that. Did anyone get a photo of the best pose of the night? Paul took the bass, held it up at like a clock hand pointing to 10:00 and then pointed to it with the other hand. All I could do was utter "that's awesome" and watch, without time to get my phone out. I would love to see that again!

      ralva:

Hey guys, seems like I am not going to make the concert and have 2 tickets that I am not going to be able to use. Low 112 Row U seat 18-19 good seats on the less expensive side. Trying to sell them at face value, If anyone is interested PM me and we will talk! Also have put them down in StubHub for sale, so whatever comes first

Somewhere on this board I know there is a "tickets at face value" thread. You might have better luck posting there. Good luck!

      Dia:

: Is anyone familiar with the seating at Nationals Ballpark? Does anyone know how many rows of seats there are to a section in the stands? I have seat 18 in Section 134 and I am hoping it is an aisle or near to the aisle seat.

If you look at StubHub, you can actually filter so only aisle seats come up. If you select a few, you might find some in a section that looks like yours that aren't #1, which is obviously an aisle. Looking at the map, though, your section seems larger than most, so you might not find out until you get there. I live in Philly, and if this park is anything like ours, 18 is sort of in the middle. No matter, you look to have a staller seat for the show of the Summer!

    • RE: Anyone know what time Paul hits the stage?

      Thisbe211:

Usually about 8:40 for shows that say they start at 8. Get there by 8 and enjoy the DJ and pre-show films!

Oh...I've heard about the pre-show film (singular) and thought it was just a brief retrospective with the house lights down and the band hitting the stage. Sounds like a bigger deal than that, and certianly part of the experience I don't want to miss! Thanks for the tip!
