Has Paul ever commented on the subject of being a vegetarian rather than a vegan? I'm curious to read something about this particular choice of his.
He has a few times. Beatrice is vegan - which makes me think he is probably vegan quite a bit of the time.
Isn't James vegan too? i think Paul mentionned a long time ago that James was "vegan and healthy" (i think at the time he was 18 or so)
i've heard a radio inerview Paul made while getting to the arena in verona, he said about the new album that he hoped "that would be out by the end of the year .. october maybe" I really wish it was not postponed, i'm dying to hear some new macca music
you may think i'm crazy but i miss his suspenders outfit

Paul sounds really good for a guy his age, but not as good as ten years ago and less so than twenty years ago, which is to be expected. Seeing McCartney in this era is not seeing him at his peak. But you are seeing a legend perform great music he composed.
It's true, his voice is still great though not good as it used to be. I understand the reason why he is performing songs like My Valentine or Yesterday (that he'd perform anyway ) which have simple vocal lines, but it's amazing that he keeps on singing Live and let die, Maybe i'm amazed or, this time around , lovely rita, which are a bit more difficult. Paul is being pretty brave, don't you think? He's great
Noel Gallagher was in Milan in 2011, i think i was touring too (but i'm not sure) and he just couldn' t resist. I was able to spot Noel from where i was. There were pictures of him and Paul in the backstage too but that i couldn't see
in any of the member of this forum going to the soundcheck in Verona? i'm not but i'm just curious

oh no i'm a melomaniac - though i admit to like puccini much more than verdi - but .. no, no way an opera could never be as good as a McCartney concert ( unless puccini leads the orchestra .. which i suppose it's not gonna happen )
AHAHAHAH Ti ho scritto , ma mi pare che i miei messaggi non partano in quanto rimangono nella casella OUTe non in quella SENT. Riguardano il biglietto per l'Arena. Dammi un segno se li hai ricevuti. Ciao ciao

now if he would came in his priest attire... good thing it didn't say "can I exorcise your wedding"
his security would catch you and kick you out with a sign like this
walliebaby:
It all depends. For example, I met Paul at a VIP soundcheck in Toronto, but only because he was in the mood, and I had a cool sign.
Can you tell us about your sign? no, i'm not attending any soundcheck i'm just being curious
"why Paul?" is the question i ask myself pretty often expecially when i check my bank account after each purchase (tickets included : ) This is the only answer
Nancy R:
Cause he writes damn good songs and was (is) pretty damn hot to boot!

Hey Sir Paul!!! 150, 170 or 200 ? for a concert in Verona Italy ??? Do you know there's a crisis??? the tickets of 60 ? will be only 3-4000 only for 1 date?? Is was not better do it in a Stadium where the prices are more popoular and more young and old fans enjoying your music?? I know that you will not read this post but if somebody of your staff will read it please pass it to the Sir King.... a delused fan called Rosario Rox Bersanelli Sorry for my english...but the sense of my words can to be understood easly...
Rosario i can understand your disappointment but paul playing at the arena will be a unique experience, nothing you can compare to the feeling of being in a stadium. The small distance from every place to the stage, the acoustic .. the magic. Try to see it this way. The arena is a must for every music lover and i'm very happy Paul is playing there. It's gonna be a top concert in Macca-history (ok i say this to myself every time )
got my ticket, not the best one but still a mccartney ticket i love this man

Ok, catching up with all:

what I learnt from Milan: if the concert is GA, donΒ΄t buy from crowdsurge in the pre-sale! you only get the information for your ticket, then you have to queue at the venue for getting your ticket very very late. in the meantime there are hundreds/thousands of people in another queue in front of the entrance, who already have their ticket (bought in the regular sale and already home printed)....
This can't be repeated enough. I now learn Milan was the same chaos as in Bologna one day earlier. They screwed us big time, the only time I had a really sh**ty view during one of his shows, and only because of their disorganisation. The most amateuristic troop I have ever experienced for a concert. Unheard of. While, with general admission, all could have been so perfect. Travelled from The Netherlands to Italy, queued since noon in the freezing cold, and ended at the back of the venue on my own without any of the fans I met. It was a disgrace. Mind, as soon as McCartney hit the stage with 'Magical Mystery Tour' I forgot all about it, and the shock-stunning additions of 'Come And Get It' and 'The Word'/'All You Need Is Love' made it one of the best McCartney concerts I ever saw. But, whatever you do: let them send you the tickets beforehand. Even if you have to pay let's say 20 bucks for it. Will Call/box office ('pick up tickets at venue') will screw you over big time in Italy I'm afraid.

In that same single week I'm already elsewhere... Gutted this is it.
c'mon buddy! cancel or sell what ever ticket!!~ let's rock with Macca & Co...
I know right! What are the odds this short spree would take place in the only few days I'm not free as a bird so far this year to leave everything behind and go on McCartney holiday... I would gladly axe every event, but that's a bit hard since we are talking about a potential week at no less than Glastonbury. I will only know for sure in late April. By then it's much too late for McCartney tickets. Plus since there is no advance notice, I'm stuck with work and not in the opportunity to catch proper seats tomorrow morning... (Why no one or two day advance... Then I could have fixed something...) It's not going to work out. I got lucky with 4 (!) EU 'On The Run' concert in 4 different countries with 4 perfect - ok, one not totally perfect as stated above - seats, so I'm not complaining. Just sucks to know I will miss one 'Letting Go'- or 'Come And Get It'-like addition, since that one will be gone before he's maybe coming back later this year, lol! Hey, I would gladly help you with any of your EU travel plans. Warsaw-Vienna will be 180 bucks with Air Berlin. Warsaw-Bologna (2 hours from Verona) about 170 dollars, if you travel on a certain date, or indeed as already suggested through Ryanair. Let me know!
ahhhhhh ops: OK>>>> yep, Im confused on the travel... verona has no airport...? gotta get back to vienna gotta be in Vienna on the 26th--
http://www.aeroportoverona.it/en/voli/arrivi_giorno.asp i hope that helps
RMartinez:
This has me thinking. I have read different stories about what Paul charges or is charging, ranging from $1 million to $3 million per show. I wonder if he has a sliding scale. For a venue that seats 15,000, certainly a crowd that size cannot generate $3 million like a 50,000 seat stadium.
Maybe Paul's staff required some biggert agreement than the tickets income. It's a major attraction for the city itself well worthy every price they needed to pay to book Paul.
I just adore Paul he couldn't have choosen a better place, small arena, great acoustic. Again, thank you Paul !
Tutto tranquillo qui? Nessuno esulta? Chi viene a verona?
