Although I'm pissed at Paul for ignoring Portland (and San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Sacramento, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Auckland, et al) I will enjoy seeing him in a baseball stadium (Safeco) for the first time. [At least we finally got him to Vancouver last year.]

The Seattle show is for Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand fans too...as well as festival-avoiding California fans.

It looks like an L.A./O.C. baseball stadium concert would be Aug. 2-7 somewhere at Dodger Stadium. It could be in the Rose Bowl, Hollywood Bowl, arena,... if it happens at all this time around.
Since 2005 there have only been 3 concerts in California, 2 Hollywood Bowl shows (35,000) in 2010 and one at AT&T Park in SF (45,000) in 2010, for 38 million people...

RE: Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
I've given up predicting or trying to find any logic to it. The one glaring thing that stands out this year though is two shows in Tulsa, the No. 61 US media market, in the most red-neck, reactionary state in the nation----instead of other seldom-visited cities.

I have never been and never will go to a music festival.

Whew. Golden Gate Park in August. It's the coldest, foggiest month of the year. I used to live in the avenues. Bring a coat.

He does have a problem with cities near the Pacific Ocean. Maybe it's the ring of fire.

I've never done the presale from his website--is it better than the Amex presale? I think that's Tuesday at 10am. I've had decent but not great luck with the Amex presale. Is there anything I need to know if I want to do the PM site presale?
You get better seats for a cheaper price...

Anyone think Indianapolis might get a second show added?
No.

The fan pre-sale never asked me for my email address. How's that?

RE: Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
Songkick deleted Minneapolis from 6 July. Indianapolis 16 July instead? That Timberlake /JayZ tour is playing Candlestick this summer so I wouldn't be surprised if Paul adds it. I bet the SF festival is a scratch. I'd bet yes on San Diego and no on New York, unless it's before Boston. Someone said a 2nd Orlando show is likely?

RE: Paul McCartney Tour!
I really doubt if Paul gives a flyin' f*ck what the British media think. Anyway, he played Liverpool and Manchester in December 2011.

RE: Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
Songkick is listing Minneapolis for 6 July, but it might be 16 July...

RE: Paul's not coming here -- a place to vent
Well Minneapolis is listed on the Songkick site. That's one less overlooked place anyway. 6 July, Target Field.

Paul's not coming here -- a place to vent
Don't forget Minneapolis, which was scrubbed in 2011 and then passed over (literally, en route from St Louis to Vancouver and Edmonton) in 2012. Star-Tribune: He said hello, now he says goodbye. It turns out that former Beatle Paul McCartney is not going to play Target Field after all in what would have been the two-season-old baseball stadium's first concert on Sept. 1. "There will be no Paul McCartney show at Target Field in '11," Twins President Dave St. Peter said Friday afternoon in a tweet. "Scheduling challenges for Sir Paul. Still hoping to bring concert to TF soon." On Monday, a major concert-tracking website broke the news that the "cute" Beatle was bringing his "On the Run" tour to Minneapolis. The tour is scheduled to open July 15-16 at Yankee Stadium and visit other major league venues as well."

It doesn't look that way, I'm guessing he's going to announce even more US dates
New Mexico in the USA got the same shaft Horsens did. NOT cool.
Not really the same. The Horsens show were announced officially, people had bought tickets, hotels and flights. New Mexico demonstrated the problems with reading too much into rumours.
^^ This. There's a reason negotiations take place behind the scenes.
If it makes the news, it is not behind the scenes. I blame the folks at NMSU for letting the news out. I blame McCartney's people for making it appear it was a done deal, when it wasn't. Either way, the Rolling Stones have it all over McCartney on how to put a tour together and announce it. The Stones are like a professional military operation, McCartney is like a rag tag operation not knowing what is going on until the last minute. It's not just me, this has been a widespread complaint on here for years from diehard fans.

Little Willow
I included Little Willow in the music at my Mom's funeral/celebration last Saturday. Thank you Paul for this unbelievably beautiful song. The Methodist minister said amen when it ended.
