I HATE The Long and Winding Road, Let It Be and Yesterday!
It's unusal to be a fan of an artist and hate three of his biggest hits (that incl. his two biggest hits 'Yesterday' and 'Let It Be', and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't like 'Hey Jude' either ). Btw: 'Yesterday' and 'Long and Winding Road' are my two favorite songs ever, 'Let It Be' is close there too.
so we have the same favorites, yesterday and the long and winding are my 2 favorite songs ever
Another similarity, it's getting scary.

For me, personally, the most emotional part of Paul's concerts happen when he plays "Let it Be". It gets me every time. I love that song. It's probably not my favorite of his, but there is something special when he plays it... even more so than his other Beatles songs. I don't know how to explain it but, when he's playing it, it's like... "oh yeah, that's really him over there on that stage... It's actually one of the Beatles and he's in the same room as me". Just a nice moment for me. I get the same feeling during "Hey Jude". Now, if there was one song I could do without... probably "Got to Get You Into My Life". Frankly, it just doesn't do it for me live. Maybe if he had a horn section, but it just seems dull with the synths.

the songs he mentioned are some of my favorites, actually yesterday and the long and winding road are my favorites!
Given how many songs Paul has written, it's going to happen that some folks don't like songs we like. It's okay. In fact, that's the point of this thread.

Aww, I like this one. I've heard it live one too many times, though, but it's kind of catchy. I like working out to it.

Love it! First Macca song I ever heard when I was a 10 year old laddie. Would love this to be done live again.

I have never been the biggest fan of either Little Lamb Dragonfly, Beware My Love or Don't Let It Bring You Down, but I know these songs are normally huge fan favourites..
-
There are some songs I dont like however they were not popular, just fillers on LPs I suppose. For the song that was a "hit" and Im in disagreement with its popularity it would be CMoon. Its not the worst song, its listenable but cant work out how so many liked it.

Found it, feel free to tell us some more.

The Long And Winding Road Waterfalls Eleanor Rigby Motor of Love Those are songs I will pick up the needle and drop it on another song. I really can't stand to listen to those tracks. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple but those are the ones that come to immediate attention.

Some can get a revelation moment on vinyl, or mono. Lady Madonna is better in mono, I can get into it, it sounds more like The Beatles as a band, it's much tighter. Hey Jude, never rubbish for me, but the mono is more austere, more effective rather like a cathedral effect. In stereo, it's a bit tacky in comparison. And all of the White Album is better on vinyl, it's the best album if on vinyl and I never listen to it on digital, it just doesn't work for me.

Glad you found the thread maccamad. I need to go back & read through a few pages. With the recent release or re release of Ram & hearing that so many people sacrificed by not listening to it for however long...just makes me think of the current setlist. Must be the same type thing. Too familiar with some of the songs. I'll admit I am tired of Yesterday, Long & Winding, Elinor, LIB. *shrugs* Maybe I should just stop listening to my live cds & dvds. not. But I always do skip over a few.

Tomorrow, Here Today, Warm & Beautiful, English Tea , Half of RRS Medey, Baby's Request , Sing The Changes, All of these seem to have quite a following, whilst I would quite happily have most of these put in the skip. I'm thinking of doing a thread of the songs you can't stand at all & that others hate aswell, I could be here for ages doing that list !!

"That Would Be Something" always seems to get a lot of praise from fans, critics, musicians & Macca himself. I cant see why. It is so repetitive musically & lyrically. I believe Paul if he said he made it up on the spot. Most of the other songs off "Mccartney" are much more interesting & developed for me.

You seem to hate virtually all songs I like I still respect your opinion as wrong as it is!

The Long And Winding Road (haven't and won't ever understand why it has been played at like every single concert) Lady Madonna (same as the upper song. Studio version is great though) Waterfalls Bluebird

I don't "hate" Hey Jude, I'm just really tired of it. One song that I dislike that others seem to like is Temporary Secretary (I know you like it oobu!) and Nod Your Head (does anyone love that?)
