PAUL AND NANCY ARE MARRIED!

I thought the "in" thing in headwear was "fascinators": as worn by our new leading lady The Duchess Of Cambridge (Kate to you and I I can well image they'd be stocked along with the tiaras in a millenery department. Martin
Now that would be a look Nancy could pull off and it wouldn't be bad if she got the right one.

They said she was "browsing for tiaras"- a pretty odd expression, which certainly doesn`t mean she actually bought any! Incidentally, I am loving the fact that people keep coming back here to tell us how uninterested they are!
I only came to this thread because I saw a reference in an unrelated thread that lead me to believe there was some 'in fighting' going on here and wanted to read through it as I threw down some popcorn...but I see it's much ado about nothing - so I shall leave
Sorry to dissappoint you. (and don't listen to rumors. They're usually BS)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2039362/Paul-McCartney-wedding-Bride-Nancy-Shevell-shops-accessories-New-York.html#ixzz1YWndJUfz She is set to marry Sir Paul McCartney in London in just a few weeks time. And Nancy Shevell is getting the final details in place ahead of her big day. The future Mrs. McCartney was spotted browsing for tiaras at several hat stores in the Upper East Side area of Manhattan yesterday accompanied by a friend. Okay, so there you have it. I just have this to say to Nancy...every woman ever in the history of the entire world who's ever worn a tiara looks incredibly stupid. Don't do it (unless you don't mind looking stupid). You'll only look like a little girl playing dress up.
I doubt she`s going to wear a tiara in registry office.
I hope you're right. she'd look pretty stupid in there, as I've said before. (But then, who knows if the registry is to throw off the paps)
Frankly, she can wear what she likes. It`s Westminster Abbey, probably.
Just because she can wear what she likes doesn' t mean she wouldn't look stupid in a tiara.

I will bake a cake or at least a fudge to celebrate their day symbolically at home with them. love doris

That`s your own judgement.

Well, I noticed that no one is posting pics of women in tiaras to contradict me. That's because they all look pretty stupid. I forget who said it, but it was some snotty Miss-Manners-Barbara Walters type broad who said, "No woman can maintain her dignity while wearing a tiara." For once, one of those types said something I agree with!
-
Just had a thought...the tiara could be for a Halloween costume...
-
All your repeated tedious tiara talk is tiresome. It's obvious tiaras or crowns are pretty, even gorgeous if they have sparkling jewels on them, especially. If I were Queen Elizabeth, I'd wear the crown all the time (LOL).

Its their special day and they should be the ones deciding how it goes. I wish them well. love doris

Your opinion. Not mine and I noticed that though you state the tiara is pretty, you never said how'd you look in one.

Once down the aisle was good enough for me. On the other hand no one should be alone & I wish them many happy years together

I agree with the once down the aisle part. It was enough for me too. I enjoy my relationships but marriage is little more then a money contract at this point. Granted, it would be nice if my current relationship could get married just on principle, but I wouldn't want it right now.

i am so enjoying all the comments here about Paul & Nancy's wedding! The bit about jumping out the window - when Paul & Linda got married, I was completely shattered. My mom wanted to know why I was crying. When I told her that I wasn't going to school because Paul had just got married, she said: "SHUT UP! YOU ARE GOING TO SCHOOL!: My heart was broken but good old mom didn't give a fig! Today, I look back on this & laugh. As for Nancy wearing a tiara, ho hum. I did one better and wore a gold crown with pearls & "jewels" when I got married. I was Queen for a day!

Did you know I actually own a solid silver tiara? I had to wear it when I was a high priestess in a witches coven. it was even made the sacred way by another witch for me and given freely (as is the tradition with sacred objects). I still think it looks stupid though many ooh and ahh over it...usually guys into anthropology.

We do now. What we don`t know is whether Nancy owns a tiara.
-
Nancy doesn't seem to be a tiara kind of gal.
-
actually, we really don't know that much about Nancy. How would we know if she was the Tiara type of gal
-
No we don't know that much about her but hopefully she'll inspire Paul & he will release some new music! Hopefully that long awaited album. Doubt if she wears many tiaras though, being from a trucking family. But who knows?

As far as tiaras go I think it is Nancy's wedding if she wants to wear one . Go for it. It will good to see a happy, content smile on Paul's face. It is even better to have the woman he Marries also happy. love doris
