Just received an email from the Beatles Examiner that Paul will be playing two gigs in Denmark June 30 & July 1. http://www.examiner.com/paul-mccartney-in-national/new-paul-mccartney-on-the-run-europe-shows-setting-stage-for-olympics-gig?CID=examiner_alerts_article

That came out of nowhere!
Hopefully some US/Canadian dates will come from there too!!!

All this excitement is exciting me too. I think if Paul does another London show later this year I'd quite like to experience the soundcheck package. Anyone else fancy doing this with me?

If only we could all find someone really rich to sponsor us all following Paul around!

Ok, so given the European dates, and the Olympics, and Paul's pattern of taking the late summer off in the Hamptons (I'm right that he tends to do that, right?), it seems most likely that if there are US dates to come, they'll be in the form of a Fall tour. Don't know if that seems reasonable to anyone else, but that seems the most likely timetable to me.

I hope you are right, but he will have a new CD to be released in early 2013, which he will have to promote. He may tour in the spring/summer of 2013 in the US/Canada.

Spring/summer 2013 makes a lot of sense, since that would allow him to promote the new CD. Also, there might be final mixing to be done in the Fall, which would keep him tethered to the studio. Although, who knows! Paul doesn't keep me updated on his daily comings and goings.

Will The Inch Worm make it into the Denmark setlist?

Will The Inch Worm make it into the Denmark setlist?
That would be something!

Since this thread is about rumors, I will say we will not see any North American dates until Aug or Sept 2012.

Is there a reliable source that generated this rumour? Because a rumour is supposed to have some sort of lead or tip behind it....not just be a shot of hope into the dark.

Ha ha! Really? REALLY? If you go through this WHOLE thread, you are telling me every entry is based on some sort of lead and there are no "shots of hope into the dark??" Baa Ha ha haaaa haa aha ah! Well, let's just say, it looks like Paul will be in Denmark at the end of June and the beginning of July. So, he is open from June 5 - June 29. He may surprise me, but I doubt he will do any concerts in that time frame. Call it speculation. At least not in the USA. Maybe in Europe, which would make sense. There HAVE been rumors he will play for the Olympics in London in July, so I doubt he will come to the USA for a group of shows in July, just to have to go all the way to the UK for one show. Still, I may be wrong. Maybe that will happen. Therefore, careful deduction would point to August or September as a likely time McCartney may do some shows in the USA and Canada. Rumor? No. Speculation? Yes.

Thank you for understanding my concern, and renaming your seemingly prophetic belief accordingly.

I never claimed to be a prophet, but I am a gambling man! Want to wager?? I would probably lose. McCartney has done tour itineraries I could never have dreamed up.
