p.s.> I have clicked on all the links and cannot find a snippet? I just found it! :
I think he sounds great, seriously, I don't think his voice has a problem, he sounds dreamy. His voice is clear and sweet. imo. Thanks for posting this link... I'm definitely going to get this one... I love Christmas time and it seems like it should be a great album. I like the groups on it!! Paul's voice sounds great Clear and dreamy... well that about sizes it up!! Referring to a different thread... I think some of the people complaining about his voice, are starting to sound a bit like cyber bullies to me... if they really feel that way, they can always just turn it off (enough is enough already ) .... but for me I still love to hear Paul singing, as do many of my friends...
really they sound like cyber bullies? oh come on now...

If it were you... you might not like hearing it over and over... that's all I'm saying... Obviously Paul has decided not to retire according to their wishes lol

Ready for this? 'Christmas Rules' title changed for the U.S.: http://www.amazon.com/Holidays-Rule/dp/B009A9EKGM/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1350854100&sr=1-1&keywords=christmas+rules

Where did you read that the album title was ever going to be "Christmas Rules"? Or that the title was "changed for the U.S." From the moment I first read about the CD, the title was always "Holidays Rule." Just curious.

Hear Music, as an American company connected with Starbucks, was always going to call this CD Holidays Rule. So if anything, the title was probably changed for the European version I guess.

Yes. I'm just saying the release was always going to be Holidays Rule in the U.S. The "Christmas Rules" link that Martin gives is to a UK MP3 version.

Okay, I never knew that. I thought it was Christmas Rules and then they changed it for the U.S.!

Okay, I'll be the first to say it. Paul's voice is old here. NOt to say that's bad because it works in a way, but his age is showing.

Really? He sounds OK to me -- sounds like a Kisses track. I don't prefer the soft vocal style he uses on these standards, but they're good vocals. Harmony is great on this track!

Everybody knows the holly and the mistletooeee, help to make the season right .... Now all I need is a mug of spiked cider and some snow, and I'm ready for Christmas.

I think you've already gotten into the spiked cider! The last word is 'bright' not 'right'. Here are the 'carnivore' lyrics (turkey and mistletoe) http://www.carols.org.uk/the_christmas_song_chestnuts_roasting.htm

Right, bright. So I forgot the "b" on "right" (hiccup). What's the big deal?

One of my favorites from way back then to now I like Nat King Cole's version (usually) This is GREAT to Hear Paul's Version

Normally I LOVE everything and anything that Paul does... BUT....I don't care for his rendition of The Christmas Song. I don't care for that whispery voice he uses...that same voice he also used on quite a few songs on KOTB. Wish he would use his "normal" singing voice. It seems that he is using this new whispery voice to compensate for any flaws in his regular singing voice. He has a lovely normal singing voice, minor flaws and all...much preferred to his new slow whispery voice.
