If Paul did a concert, as people are suggesting, for only Pioneer members (weren't there 1,000?), where could it be held that would be considered fair to all? The same question applies if it was opened up to all Premium members. Surely not enough opted for Premium membership to sell out a stadium... That, in my opinion, is why that idea appears to be a non-starter.
I am a Pioneer (Premium) member and I'm #1014. We speculated earlier that the lowest numbers were reserved for Paul's special friends (who knows how many)
Didn't they say in the beginning that there only would be 1000 pioneers? But so much has been promised and said a year ago. Don't know about the low numbers, I was #175, still pretty low and I'm not Paul's special friend

I am a Premium Member and due to my daily work, it is not always possible for me to get on PaulMcCartney.com to access daily. With this said being a past Club Sandwich fan, I have noticed when tour dates come out that I never seem to know in enough time before tickets go on sale how to get the VIP or Prem tickets before they are grabbed by corp mogals...Also, it would be great to get a better understanding of how long your Prem Membership lasts and when you are actually in it or not in it when you log in with your user name and password. Other than that, love, hugs and kisses to all at MPL & Macca & family...

And still no answer from the "people in charge". Should I be a little bit more patient or am I right to think they don't give a damn about us ?? Pioneer my ass...

Rmoore 2001, patrice, Nancy R: my sentiments exactly. Just give me some truth!

Pleasantly surprised. We all come together! Ebony and Ivory! Peace and Love! Thank you.

I'm not pioneer so I'm not happy yet : And I didn't use my profile so... lol

I don't think that's fair to other premium members. I think they should just bring back the premium membership. It would solve everything. I don't like that because I joined after over 1,000 others I don't get anything. Just bring back the membership and ask us which parts we think needed tweaking. And what about ticket presales? Do we get nothing? You might as well just hand over every Macca show ticket available to the scalpers.
-
If it really is a "first step", then that might be promising. My expectations are now extremely low, but I'd like to see... - access to the digitised archive, in some form - the return of the jukebox
-
What exactly does pioneer mean now though? Is it not just a tag that says "I was in the first 1000 suckers!"
-
This is great news!! Thank you so much for responding so quickly to people's constructive criticisms.

Yes, they did say 1000. Reread my above post. I promise you my membership said Pioneer (on my page which of course no longer exists) and I was #1014. Maybe there were only 50-100 "special friends."

My take on his post was that everyone would be getting their pages, friends, etc. back. The next line said that Pioneers would retain their status. Now, MPL, please bring back the Jukebox! Thank you. Edited to add: How do we find our page now off the main site?

They prolly didn't actually "do" anything about it YET.
-
Lol, with all respect, but... "Pioneer Members will be keeping their status". Which status?
-
Hehe I was a pionneer member too even if I was over the first 1000 thousands... will see what happened. But seriously, all of this has been (still is?) a communication fiasco by MPL, it reminds me of how they communicate the Denmark show cancellation earlier this year by a laconic press release. As a fan of Paul, I kind of hurt when I see flames coming from his fanbase, these kind of situations could have been handled in another way, with the same results that they intended to have. I don't aim these critics directly at Paul but at the MPL's people. I hope that someone at MPL saw this and pushed the "Alarm button" so that a higher-ranked person address these issues... not just an admin trying to calm us down. At least they seem to realize they did something wrong.. we'll see in the future what will happen I guess.. I really, really do miss Linda these days...
-
Well its a start from MPL good to see things are moving and they're communicating with us,shame they couldn't do the same before it all hit last week but as i say a start. But as others have said keeping pioneer status is a little meaningless at the moment but im prepared to give them more time.

Thank you!
