one - it aint a trouncing two - due to the f***** usa constitution it can't be called a mandate for radical reform. three - wake up america. the rethoric does not match the truth. you cannot militarily boss the world ( you never could) and you cannot boss it economically ( powerless since 1998 or a bit later). four - ignore polls from other countries, you elect your government no one else does. obama and the European Union won the peace prize LMFAO. five - realise that the last 20 years your country has got weaker economically part of it was inevitable but it has been excavabeted by the upper class ( yes you are class riden) in search of bonuses ( not earned by skill) by outsourching overseaseas. And placing the outsourcing into your country's next competitor. You have problems raising the currency exchange why? because CHINA owns so much of your debt. # Solution to your impasse in political and economically thinking can be found, just dont vote for anoybody who attended havard or vale.

May God have mercy on us, because if you take him out of it, what do you have left? A falling America that forces and passes unGodly laws and policies that try to make wrong right! There's a reckoning coming, and we'll have to explain to our children how we messed up this country for them! We haven't learned a thing from all the empires that have fallen thruout history, how totally blind and stupid America has become! Man turning his back and denying truth is nothing new, and the consequences won't be anything new either! This country is in real trouble!
As both Romney and Obama are Christians with secular executive experience, what difference does it make?

First the Grammies, then the Oscars and then Nobel prizes, they're not what they used to be. Next Nobel for Peace could be for the IMF or Wall Street... If you think that's impossible look at the grammies winners. I'm quoting Abraham Lincoln, ex-president of the USA, again; "Corporations have been enthroned and a age of corruption will follow", we are at the absurd climax of that.
The Grammys have been a joke for decades.
-
Corporations have been rigging the game since Reagan if not sooner.
-
I would say since McKinley, or even Cleveland's second term.

A number of people in this thread make fun or light of those with whom they disagree (they "cut up" others - it's slang: not proper English). So I really could have said, no matter how much you cut me up I am among a significat number of American's who prefered not Obama. Well the news here has been that that the Obama administration helped arm many of the militia groups - to take change the existing ruling powers (Egypt; Libya, & some other hot spots). The arming of rebel groups was extensive in Egypt & Libya. Women (for example) now have less rights in Egypt & Libya in 2012 than what they had in 2008 and prior. I personally hold Obama responsible (in part) for the loss of women's rights in parts of the Middle East.
Make fun of is an understatement. The hatred directed at you personally is incredible. Fortunately, your leaders are calmer than their supporters. One could say most Americans preferred not Obama since there was 50% to 60% voter turnout and of those 60% at most, only 50% voted for Obama. However, whoever wins is the winner, regardless of turnout. If only 3 Americans vote, the person who gets 2 votes is the winner. The United States has a history of arming militia groups around the world. This has been the policy of Democrats and Republicans. They armed not only opposition groups in Egypt, Libya and etc, they armed the previous regimes. Egypt was and is paid large sums in military grants. Egypt and Libya are currently in transition and it is unknowable what will next happen. Should they become more democratic, we may assume women will have greater equality. This will not be dependent on the American president.
I rarely stop by here anymore. All I read is hatred & name calling & idiotic smiley faces. Shame really. I am an independant & this thread has shown me what some people think politics is about. I don't remember such name calling ever before.
-
I remember it being much worse.
-
Independents decide elections -- that's a fact. One has to give Pres. Obama credit for keeping his cool during four years of unprecedented amount of veiled racism, untruths and misleading labels applied to the man. He didn't deserve any of it.
-
No one deserves to be the recipient of so much hatred. Unfortunately, if you run for president, you will be hated.

I suppose this is too late now, but I still like it. A special message for white people from Chris Rock

I went through a tremendous amount of teasing in school by inner-city kids for "acting and talking white." : I can relate to ol' Barry.

Eisenhower warned against the Military-Industrial Complex in the 1950's. It started during World War II to defeat Hitler and Germany, but it was never dismantled. That's why the Vietnam War took 15 years and why the War in Iraq took 9 and the War in Afghanistan is taking even longer. Nixon knew it and couldn't stop the War in Vietnam sooner. They're also the reason for the Cold War, the arms race and the global weapons market. If Iran ever discloses they have the A-Bomb you can bet there will American components in its construction which were bought from a third party. Even Obama can't control the Military-Industrial Complex, unfortunately. Where is Iron Man when you need him?

President Clinton said that he had never seen such hatred directed at a president as he has seen against President Obama. It is because of race and the conservatives here in US are having a difficult time accepting that whites are losing their majority status. If I am personally aware of that hatred and racism (and it is present on this board) I will call it out...no need to be polite to a racist hater..that is hypocricy. Io be silent in the face of such despicable behavior is to be complicit. Incidentally, not only words but images also are a way of communicating racism and hatred...in fact, on this thread that has been the most prevalent way it has been communicated...as if by not saying the words they are innocent of the act. In fact, in the last few days racist images placed on this thread by andy had to be deleted by the mods.

Conservatives spent the entire campaign pretending not to notice Romney's, Gingrich's and all the others' rampant use of the race-card. And shame on them for it.

mittens too went along with all the race baiting and birtherisms from Trump etc. This was a disgraceful campaign. In 2008 McCain didn't seem to feel it was necessary for him to sell his soul and he was left with some integrity.

Also Forbes researched whether ObamaCares would kill jobs ...here're the facts read the entire article and click the links to the study and read that. http://www.forbes.com/sites/frederickallen/2012/06/11/will-obamacare-kill-jobs-a-new-study-says-no/ people who believe the lies about ObamaCares killing jobs have been suckered yet again
As we speak, layoffs and closures are happening. Obamacare is killing jobs, you can continue to deny it, but it is happening.
that may kill jobs but may save lifes It's a matter of priorities.
Okay, so no jobs then.

Exactly, they're revenge firings and will backfire on the greedy, lying repubs.
People aren't closing businesses to get revenge. Why, in the name of everything good, would they hurt themselves and they're employes to get revenge. I'm damn sure my uncle didn't close his business to get revenge. It tore him apart to close his business and put all those people out of work.

So much nonsense from angry males
Because the Republican party is made up of just angry white guys. Is that what you're trying to say?

My new political hero is the young girl who stood up against those who do not want her or other girls like her to have the freedom to pursue an education.

Mod Post. In the aftermath of Moderation some confusion can occur as memories of the deleted posts, their content and the probable cause of moderation can differ. Without referencing the material removed - rendering moderation pointless - I am able however to confirm that Andy Shofar has not posted any images to this topic. Some tasteless animated images were removed, Again Andy Shofar was not responsible for posting them. I hope this clarification can allow the topic to return to less personal thoughts on politics.
