If Paul decides to Tour in 2013

As cool as it would be to see a solo song start the set, IMO I Saw Her Standing There is one of, if not THE greatest opening tracks to a rock and roll album ever! and the first song to the first album McCartney ever appeared on! You couldn't get a better opening than that!
agreed the timing would be perfect for this year!

I'm sure many of us are anticipating when Paul will announce tour dates for this year, when it happens and depending on how many shows take place, Paul could easily play 2 different shows and alternate them each night with his vast catalogue of songs,of course rehearsals would need to happen (but that's their job!) . I've kept 6 'must play' in both sets and included 3 potential new album songs with 36 in total. something like this maybe; Set 1: Venus and Mars/Rock show Jet Letting go Coming Up New song Getting Better Fine Line Only mama knows Take it away New song Long and Winding Road 1985 Let em in Every night Two of us Here there and everywhere Eleanor Rigby Here comes the sun Ram on New song Band on the run Ob la di ob la da Birthday Back in the USSR Too many people/She came in through the bathroom window Good day sunshine Live and let die Let it be Hey Jude Encore 1: Beautiful Night Listen to what the man said No more lonely nights Encore 2: Yesterday Can't buy me love Lady Madonna Golden Slumbers etc.. Set 2: The World Tonight All my loving Got to get you into my life Let me roll it Flaming Pie New Song Another Day The Night Before I'll Get you We can work it out New song Maybe I'm amazed C Moon My Valentine Hope of Deliverance I'm looking through you Things we said today All things must pass Blackbird New song Band on the run Mrs Vandebilt Penny Lane Lovely Rita My Brave Face A Day in the life/GPAC Live and let die Let it be Hey Jude Encore 1: Juniors Farm Silly love songs Uncle Albert Encore 2: Yesterday Get Back I saw her standing there Golden Slumbers etc
Awesome setlist, hope Pauls reads this....totally all my fav's....wow... long concert too....

I totally agree that I Saw Her Standing There would be an awesome opener. I get the appeal of Magical Mystery Tour and Hello, Goodbye, but to be honest, I think an early single like I Saw Her Standing There would ignite the crowd in a way that those two can't really. In terms of other set list additions, know a lot of people have already covered why he probably wouldn't do Twist and Shout, but I still hold out hope that he might do it one day (if even as an explicit tribute to John). In any case, I can't wait to see where he'll tour this year.

I really hope he drops some songs that he struggles with, like TLAWR. If he wants to do a Beatles one, I hope it's What You're Doing or Another Girl. Solo/Wings--how about Listen To What The Man Said or Silly Love Songs or This One, Beautiful Night, No More Lonely Nights??? (the list is endless!)

I couldn't possibly agree with you more!

Jonh81's lists correspond quite well with my own wishes - would be lovely to get some more odd numbers from Macca Solo and Wings. But when will we hear Paul do some more 'John-songs'?? Wouldn't it be fab to hear him do Help! for instance? Who else should pay that tribute to John, if not Macca? Hope to get the opportunity to see and hear you in 2013, Macca!

A Day in The Life would be a great song to close on. I'd like to see less repetition from what we've had before and a total change in the set list and a dropping of old favourites like Hey Jude with the usual conducting of the audience Its become tired and formuliac He's written and recorded so many great songs and many of them never get an airing. He needs to freshen everything up..otherwise every live album and live DVD is just going to be a slight variation with each one being less appealing as Paul gets older and older. He always puts on a great show and he sounds and looks pretty great still...but for how much longer? Radical changes please!

I agree with every single thing you've said... ...except the part about closing with "A Day In The Life." No, no, no, no, no!

So - what do we want to hear instead of Hey Jude? C'mon People? Why not call for some 'Freedom'??

In my perfect world? "Beautiful Night." Its jam would be just as effective as "Sgt. Pepper"/"The End" jam.

I'm with you! But it's easier to name the ones we don't want, isn't it? On my no-no list is No More Lonely Nights and Ebony and Ivory

excellent point, although I don't mind Hey Jude he could slot it somewhere different in the set.

Thanks, for a different John tribute, he could do Hard Days Night, Help or In my life to name a few.

Agree - love Hey Jude (my ringtone since donkey's) but the eternal chorus at each show has lost its spontaneity

Or "I Want To Hold Your Hand," probably their truest collaboration and also has great resonance with some of us older fans.
