We have a major concert announcement tomorrow morning at 9:30am. You can watch the press conference live on Tulsa Government TV on Cox digital cable channel 24. Or you can stream it online at www.tgovonline.org
I don't know if they always give this kind of notice prior to announcing concerts or not.
There was some major hoopla when the '09 concert was announced there.

True. Someone on Facebook speculated about Garth Brooks. He wrapped up his Vegas show, so I suppose it's possible. Anyone know if there has been speculation about a Garth Brooks tour?

Thanks folks. It's lame. Not sure who to be pissed at. NM sure isn't a destination point. But still. I sure hope it wasn't about money. Like Horens.
If all dates were announced in a more timely matter...there wouldn't be so much speculation. So sorry.

You'll have to ask the Billy Joel fans

I figured there were people on this board who were in the know on EVERYTHING!

They are having some fun teasing everyone on the Twitter feed now, so I suspect it is something big. Of course, only Paul qualifies in that category to me.

Can't wait!

I just saw him in November. You would think I wouldn't get so excited about the possibility of Tulsa or Memphis.

It's crazy isn't it? For me, it is mainly the new tour. If this was still "On The Run" I wouldn't even consider NYC.

We're hearing all the east coast rumors. What do we have for the west coast ? Anything?
We have heard SF and Seattle, I'd assume there will be more in the area as well.
Any San Diego dates??
where would he play? I would love him to come here. Hasn't been here since 76 with Wings. But San Diego has no good venues for anything that big. I too am wishing for something on the west coast. Oh and Rmartinez, I loved the video. You have a new fan. Looks like so fun.

Why not?

Very confused at this point why all the dates haven't been announced. There have been reports and leaks from so many places that it makes the most sense just to show all your cards at this point IMO.

Assuming that I was going to DC as well, an NYC show woud be my fourth "On The Run" show with the same set, even in the same city! It wouldn't have the potential freshness or value. Don't get me wrong...I'd love every minute of it, but thinking economically as well, it wouldn't make much sense.

My favorite: "Please be Tool."

I've been out of town the past 2 days (at a Clapton concert.) Other than DC and Boston, can someone catch me up?
Austin is confirmed. Rumor about a Memphis show, supposed to be an announcement Monday.
Thanks. I heard some people talking last night about shows in Atlantic City and Hershey, PA and I wanted to see if there was any word of that on here.
WHAT?! No way can I see Paul playing in Hershey...he's done the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City before...I'd go if he does it again!
IF the rumor I heard was correct, I would guess a show or two at the stadium in the amusement park. Other than Disney Channel stars and the Dave Matthews Band, they occasionally get some big names like Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and The Rolling Stones. AC's Boardwalk Hall (where I saw the Who there in February) is a great venue to see a show at but promoters and the city are in talks to hold more events at Bader Field. Either could be a possibility, but I highly doubt either are true.
It would have to be two if not three...that stadium is on the smaller side. Last time I was at Hershey Park, Kenny G was playing in the stadium. Holding my breath for Atlantic City! If I could pull off DC, NYC, and AC...it would be a new record for me!
Hershey is itty-bitty compared to the others! My daughter went there a couple times for marching band competitions. I was up in the stands and could see her clearly on the field. I don't see him playing an amusement park arena. I'd be very surprised. Plus, it would basically be free for anyone hanging out in the parking lot after the park itself closed.
I am highly skeptical of both dates but this is just something I heard (and I give your daughter props for being in marching band. I'm in marching band myself. What'd she play?)

They mention Bob Gannon in that article, over 100 shows and counting! impressive!!
Very impressive indeed! I wonder whether he has ever been to any of Paul's concerts in South America?
There are actually quite a few board members in the 100+ club, not just Bob. People just don't talk about it.
Whoever they are... impressive in my book!!!! I hope to join that club someday!

I don't think they can get away with this "we're going to places we've never been to before" thing if this tour is going to be primarily America again. It's not a world tour at all. It's led us to believe it will be different, but it seems like it won't be really. Maybe they should realise that they should stop chasing the dollar and start thinking "Hmm. Paul is loved all over the world. Paul is also 70. He's not got many years of touring left. Maybe we should share him out fairly to his fans so they can see him while they still can."
They are all full of #@^# aren't they?
I agree with you guys. But I wonder if he even knows about some of this. He probably just goes where they tell him they booked him.
Surely he can't be that detached or dense.
So do you really think that PAUL McCartney plays where he is told he is booked??? Rather than where he wants to play? Obviously I don't know the process how or where he plays but a Musician, on his on level, calls his own shots, and does what he wants. If not him than who?
