O0 You is good, but it pales next to its big sister Momma Miss America - MMA rocks!!
Love that too, at times it can stuck on my head just like "Oo You" these days! but this one never pales as it had that powerful vocal!

I always thought it was "Gabba gabba gabba gabba goo goo" myself (proper baby talk!). Is "gotta" actually official?

That's just how I always heard it, not sure it's the official way Paul wrote or sang it. Paul was definitely feeling it on that track.

No doubt about that! Certainly one of my faves vocally from the master.

Reading all this makes me want to hear it right now!!! Have loved it since I first heard it in 1970. Works so well with Momma Miss America and I also like the instrumental version on the McCartney CD bonus disc. I have to run out in a few minutes and now I know what to listen on the way to the store. Thanks!!!

I hear what kapoo hears.

Can you imagine the Beatles doing this song? they would have done a nice little Come Together/Hey Bulldog-esque vocal harmony I'm sure! I think that would have been sweet. other than the J/P vocals it'd basically be the same The sound Paul got on the McCartney album is pretty amazing, given his recording technique at the time. It's not that complicated but sounds perfect to my ears. nasty instrumentalist and producer. stating the obvious this morning
