For those who have seen Paul multiple times

MsProudSooner: Paul didn't play in Texas Stadium in the 80's. Do you mean the 1990 tour? I've seen Paul over 40 times. The first time was very, very special and I will never forget. For various reasons, some shows are more special to me--like being in the front row in Boulder, CO. I've made so many friends at the concerts. There is only one I wish I had not attended: Hard Rock in Vegas, but that is because I was sick. Wasn't Paul's fault.
Wow, I was at that Vegas show, and I was tenth row in Boulder!
Hard Rock in Vegas was the BEST show I've experienced. I was the closest person in the stadium to Paul... abouit 5 feet away. He even spoke to me!!! And one of the best things about this show was that it ended up costing me absolutely NOTHING. Hard Rock screwed up the VIP packages so bad they gave me a full refund - $1600!!! Being in the front row had nothing to do with those tickets; thankfully a beautiful person here got me in with her cause she was in a wheelchair.

It could have been 1990.

I'm coming up on seeing Paul for the 10th time this summer and each show has been wonderful with special memories to treasure. The first show he waved to us as he pulled into the garage of the MCI Center; in Miami I got down to the 4th row when he came out and got the most wonderful pictures; at FedEx in MD I took my grandson and daughter to see the show, 3 generations loving every minute! In SF I got to listen to a lot of the soundcheck from outside and meet other board members; in Atlantic City I had to go to the show in a wheelchair and got upgraded to closer seats that were wonderful! At Radio City Music Hall I got to see Paul and Ringo perform together, a dream come true! This show I'll be in the 11th row, closest seat ever and I know it will be a thrill! Every show is special...it's Paul! Enjoy your 2nd show!!!

@ Jude or Julian... not sure of the name? I was at 6 of those gigs you spoke about....& I remember your "Im' Jude" sign...at 2 of those gigs.. my friend whose name IS JUDE - said wait!,,, I'm Jude nice to read your stories... what number inline were you at Amoeba? did you have - It's my birthday on your shirt? Amoeba was brilliant!! what sucked waiting inline a day & a half....
Thank you!! Nice to hear your stories as well!!! My name is Julian. I was named after Julian Lennon. I actually met Julian Lennon last year and I told him my story. He was super nice and down to earth. I am very thankful that I got to meet Julian and he told me he has never met anybody who was named after him!! I couldn't believe it!! It was so amazing!! We also talked a little bit about "Hey Jude" and we had some laughs about it! It was just unbelievable meeting him!! (I changed my Facebook profile picture to the picture of Julian and I just in case you wanted to check it out). That is so awesome!!!!! Wasn't Amoeba amazing?!?! I didn't have the "It's my birthday shirt on." That was someone else lol I was far back because I had left the line to see Paul's entrance at Amoeba. I'm holding the "A Hard Day's Night" album in my hands for him to sign. I was the first person to see him open that door and I was in so much shock!! In those seconds I was like "OMG am I really seeing what I am seeing?!!?" I literally had the sharpie and the album in his way for him to sign. It was already for him to sign, cap off the sharpie and all! I was soo close!!! He didn't sign anything out there though.
That day was one of the greatest days of my life!!! -

I actually left that Vegas show because the heat had made me so sick. All the waiting outside and no water. I couldn't take it and had to leave. I lived in Boulder then and had always said if Paul ever played Folsom, I was going to be in the front row. It took until the day of the concert to find the tickets, but I did it! Paid $500 for the pair. People beside us paid $1000 to the same scalper site for their pair. Thought I had a bargain. At that point, I had worked my way to the 2nd row, but that wasn't good enough. I had so many tickets for that show as I worked my way forward. Were your tickets fan club tix? I think that was about where my fan club tix were that I sold.
Wow. I am sorry you got sick at the Vegas show. It really was ridiculous what we had to wait through. My memory says about three or four hours, were inside, but it was a cramped hall way with little ventilation. Then inside we had to wait another two hours for the show. I remember it was reported Paul would do some more show there later, but that never happened. For Boulder, I just called Ticketmaster a week before the show and asked for the best ticket available. I expected to be up in the clouds, instead I was directed onto the field and to the tenth row, front and center! For $35!!!
Waited outside in the heat forever. We were not allowed to sit down and, since I was alone, nobody could go buy water. Wound around the Hard Rock, got inside and then wound through the casino. Sold us water about 20 ft from where they took the ticket--and water I had just bought. I felt so horrible, I stayed towards the back in case I needed to leave. Inside, they wouldn't let people sit either. A man in front of me had one of those canes that has a seat on it and he wasn't even allowed to use it. They let him in with the can, but he couldn't use the seat. That was the last general admission show I will ever attend.

For me after the first time it's never been enough! Other than family events, it's probably on top of my list of favorite things to do! If he's not playing locally I try and figure out how to put everything together and go! Also met a lot of great people at the shows. I see a lot of bands in concert but Paul is the only one that I really care where I sit for. For the rest just being there and sitting wherever is fine. I agree with crazygina18, "each show is special in their own way. My best advice is to just enjoy it all while it lasts. 30 years from now, we will be wishing we could relive all of these concerts over again." Very well put !!!

Yeah, I agree. No more general admission. I am going to get reserved seats in Albuquerque for Cheap Trick. Strange, the GA tickets cost more than reserved seats.
