Prices are HIGHER on this tour...

You people are comparing cereal to steak and shrimp. You could buy a BMW sure. Or for a lot less you could take the bus on Friday night. Hint: Bruce is the bus.

Stadium show, several screens and a walkway into/around the audience.
Ah, stadium show, thanks, that's why more screens. For the arena shows, there's no walkway built. When he wants to head into the crowd, he just walks to the end of the front stage, goes down the steps, and walks down the aisle between the mezz seats and the GA people til he gets to the back platform that divides the Pit from the rest of the floor. By doing this he actually brings himself closer to people who are sitting towards the back of the arena, even though it is only for about 3 or 4 songs, depending on the show. sorry to get off-topic again ops: but just trying to explain the differences in staging between Paul and Bruce since it was brought up. Walking into the crowd is something I don't think Paul will EVER do.
It is fun to speculate about how Paul could change things around or make thing less expensive, but let's be honest. Nothing is going to change. Ticket prices will stay sky high, there will always be people willing to pay, and those who refuse to. Paul has hit on a winning formula to make a lot of money. The Beatles sell, and he does mostly Beatle songs. So that's that. Most folks go to his shows to relive the Beatle past and have some good memories. And what's wrong with that? I'd like to know!

very well put!

I wouldn't call Bruce a bus..... But he's an Acura, and Paul's a Rolls. PS - As for the notion that Paul charges higher because of his 'elaborate' stage... I don't think so.... Paul's stages in 1989-90 and 1990 were just as complex as the current one, if not more so.... and tickets were under $35! Even adjusted for inflation... that can't be it. Paul charges $250 because he's Paul effing McCartney, and that's good enough of a reason! In a world where Madonna charges $500 and U2 charges $300.... Paul's a steal!

U2 charges $250... But yeah Madonna is worth $40 tops lol

Sorry, just the sarcastic tone made me laugh. But I agree with one of the upper posts, Bruce is more like an Acura. Or a Kia. Maybe a Mustang. But Paul is the Royce.

U2's best seating are GA, I think they charge around $65 for them. The second time I saw them at Soldier Field I got a GA for $25 outside. Great show for $25.

Calling GA tickets "best" is very, very subjective. You MAY be in the front if you're lucky, or willing to spend a loooooooong time in line. For the final night of their Elevation tour in Miami, I got in line at my venue at about 3am, the morning of the show.... and I was already about #150 in line.... I ended up 'inside' the heart shaped pit area, and it was fantastic... but i was a younger man then.... i couldnt put myself thru that crap again.... For their Vertigo and 360 tours, I opted for close (yet expensive) lowers to the stage, rather than deal with the overall hassle of GA. After fees, I paid close to $300 per ticket for my 360 tour lowers.... The difference in price between GA and reserved was worth it to me, to enjoy the show without stress!

I was dead center at the 50 yard line in 2009 and 2011 at Soldier Field. Walked in after the opening act was over. Was easy as people were spaced out until you started to get really close. Field/Floor in a stadium or arena is where the show is at. All the other seats are close views of the concert everyone else is attending.

Offtopic, but I didn't want to start a new topic, but : When do you think gigs in Europe (especially Germany ) will be announced ? I just can't wait to see Paul live ops:

This question probably belongs in the tour rumors thread. Having said that, I don't think anyone has an idea if any more European dates are even being planned beyond the three in June for 2013.

RMartinez, not at all. I find front rowto be too close to properly take it all in. Rows 4-9 are where the concert is at.

I have a sneaking suspicion that where the concert is at is inside your head.

The notion that only the people on the floor are "attending", is just plain silly. No elaboration needed. Anyway, would anyone else care to try and get this thread back on topic? Please!!!

Everyone's at the concert. Seen PM from many locations. People on the first half of the floor/field are at the real concert. The spoon is not a spoon.

Nope. Wrong. Everyone move along. There's nothing to see here!
