Just back from the cinema in my hometown. It was great to see Rock Show back. I only saw it once on VHS years and years ago. Really enjoyed the film, which included the whole WOA setlist. The theatre was half full, so about 75 people, I guess, which was nice. The sound was amazing, and I really loved the horn section. Great fun!

Sitting at my local theatre now waiting on my friend to arrive. Really looking forward to this!!

Seems like this got promoted well in some places and not at all in others. I've seen some fun comments on Twitter about people going to see Rockshow tonight. Lots of enthusiasm. And apparently there's a theater somewhere in New Jersey that's "packed" according to one very excited Wings fan on Twitter.

It wasn't shown any where in New Mexico, so guess how many people here saw it?

Aww. I'm sure it's nothing personal. Wouldn't it be great if Paul showed up unannounced at one of the places tonight where it's showing? They could pick a theater where a lot of tickets had been pre-sold. How cool would that be?

It appears as though there was a 7:00 PM screening this evening in Albuquerque at the Century Rio 24 Plex: http://www.specticast.com/rockshow.jsp http://www.cinemark.com/theatre-detail.aspx?node_id=1638

not showing in my area~ ops:

I gotta say.... Even though Ive owned Rockshow on laserdisc for many years, and have worn out my copy of WOA, it was truly amazing seeing this tonight on the big screen, with an actual audience, and having the complete show. I was only 1 in 1976, so obviously I couldn't be there in person. But this really was the next best thing.

It was promoted fairly well here. Got several emails from my theater about it, and saw a newspaper ad. My theater was totally sold out, but its a smaller auditorium compared to other theaters. Only holds about 75 people . (upscale theater with all reclining love seats, and waiter service... about $20 a ticket, but so worth it! you go there once and its hard to ever go back to a 'regular' movie theater.) Easedropping on conversations, i'd guess that probably half the people there at Rockshow were also making the trek to Orlando this weekend. As i said, about a 2.5-3 hour drive from my area. So it was a pretty good, diehard crowd.

I wasn't born in time to see Wings when they were together. This was my chance and I LOVED IT! Soaked in every minute. Kept closing my eyes and imagining being there (great house sound at my theater). Only thing was, the guys with me were in Chicago in '76 and said it was much louder! Saw it in the Chicago suburbs tonight. Sold out! Not an empty seat! I already knew the remastered sound was amazing (for the most part, thought the backup vocals could've been higher in the mix), but when they get to Paul's first close-up, my jaw dropped. There was 1976 Macca, larger than life, in high-definition...crystal clear...going to town on the "Venus and Mars" medley. I was back in awe at how after 2 hours and all those great jams, he just tore through "Beware My Love" and "Letting Go"...and ultimately "Soily" (jaw drops again at the light show and "oh yeah!'s")...like it was nobody's business. I've only seen bits of "Rockshow" on YouTube and on the McCartney DVD collection. This was an experience I won't forget. Oh, and my theater's bathroom break was "Magneto and Titanium Man"...apparently I didn't get the memo, but that song cleared out a few. Some people : lol

I saw it at the new Ipic theater in Boca, at Mizner Park. If you haven't been there yet, you've gotta try it. Which theater in Ft. Lauderdale did you see it? Cinema Paradiso?

SO looking forward to the 22nd. I will be in The Little Theatre in Bath UK which so far has only sold 7 (yes seven) tickets!!!! You can tell he seems more popular in the US than in the UK............why is that?
