Well I've waited to see if anyone else mentioned it. We already have 222 and 444... I'm thinking this could be 333
Please explain?
Well Paul has a song 222
And the song 444 I was looking at the 3 lines 3 X and it's 3 3 3 isn't it? Although he would have probably just called it 333. Interesting enough to mention tho. I still think it's Qian - Heaven as James uses it on his album too and his angel references make me think it could be that. http://www.yijing.nl/i_ching/trigrams/1-qian.htm Paul is very interesting. And your next post will be #6666!

Anyone else notice -- amid all the talk about Paul's New song and Paul's new album -- that Paul's old album of old songs, Kisses on the Bottom, quietly leaped up the Amazon UK chart this weekend from waaaayy waaaayyy down low (like No. 25,000 or something) all the way up into the top 100. It's dropped down to No. 144 now but apparently this jump was due to SkyArts showing Live Kisses a few times over the weekend. Nice.

More good buzz about the song. From Vulture Magazine: New is on its 5 Tracks You Gotta Hear: http://vulturemagazine.com.au/5-tracks-you-gotta-hear-september-3/
It happened, our brain has imploded on itself. The royal himself, Sir Paul McCartney has released a new song. It?s been six years since new material and it?s probably as close as we?ll get to the feeling of being there for The Beatles. Produced by talented producer/luckiest man alive Mark Ronson, this song has a melody so classic it?s bonkers and combine that with the handclaps and bouncing beat, we?re putting this song here because, dammit it makes us feel happy.

Just chiming in on the board itself! I couldn't be happier with Paul and his new song New! I think it's stellar, and in the world of songs that are circulating out there, charts be damned (although I GUARANTEE it makes the Billboard top 40), it is one of the best things out there. Proud to be a Macca fan. He did what he's always done best, laid down an irresistible groove. Love it.

ok I'll call myself out that maybe thats a reach about guaranteeing top 40, but there is no doubt in my mind that song is good enough. I'm pulling for you Paul, you definitely deserve that recognition. great pop song, cool meter and lyric. nice!

You're absolutely right in that it is better than everything on the charts currently, but let's face it, that's not difficult. Paul could write a song on one chord around a phrase like 'Give me all your beans because I'm eager to please' or something and it'd still be better than the majority of the chart-listers. What we have to realise is that the charts are about popularity not quality. And unfortunately, the populace who most influence the charts have more money than taste and even less brain cells. Case in point, I was looking at the lineup for the iHeartRadio Festival in Vegas on the 21st of September where Paul is playing (on my 18th birthday no less. Curse living in another continent!) and I was horrified that he did not get top billing. Ahead of him is Justin Timberlake. Granted, most of the artists playing I would scoff at but, seriously, Paul is THE BIGGEST name in musical history and he gets put behind JT? Horrible to think of...

Good post, and I agree Paul not headlining is ridiculous but sort of refreshing in an odd way. He should play less know songs there, forget being the rock god who's expected to play Hey Jude etc. Paul and JT should do a song, that would be awesome! See of JT is smart enough to ask him. Dave Grohl was. I mean of I'm in the business, playing a show with him, in asking if he wants an extra guitar somewhere I'm no poser, but I actually sort of like Timberlake. He's talented and can write from the heart.

Yeah, I'm probably being unfairly biased but just a LOT of stuff from this century is just excruciating for me to listen to.

I would agree with that

Paul in his 20's doing JT dance moves would be uncomfortable to watch, let alone in his 70's!
-

-

Perhaps George, but not Paul.

How bout Sir Paul's dance moves in 'Coming Up' and 'Ever Present Past?' I think he is a great dancer and way hotter than JT.

Interesting how it's kids who are jumping on this:
And one young man does a do-it-yourself violin quartet of the song!
