Figure he'll either rip or mock Paul given the support Paul has shown for Obama and vice versa over the years,
Sadly their politics aren't too far off. Paul is overall a supporter of US power, the NYPD, very trusting of its motives in wars, silent on Israel's occupation etc etc. He may not have liked Bush much but all said and done, Paul's politics are closer to O'Reilly's than Amy Goodman's say or even Rachel Maddow's. And Paul uses every visit here to hurrah the U.S anyway. Sadly Bill O'Reilly won't have a problem with him.
I don't mind cheering on America, what I mind about O'Reilly is the dominating attitude he takes with any and all guests. I guess he lacks what used to be called good manners.

O'Reilly is a huge Paul fan, so I can't imagine it being any less than positive.
This is pretty much right on the money - although Bill has mentioned differences in opinions with Paul's political views, he's never really hammered him and in fact appears to be quite the fan. The closest he ever came to blasting Paul was after Paul's comments regarding the white house library and Bush's intelligence...And even then, knowing how hard Bill can hammer on people, his criticism was fairly lighthearted and relegated to more or less saying 'Paul should've have said that' while dropping it there after

I would use the term ignorant rather than hilarious. Seriously, I don't know why some think Paul should only associate with those who agree with him on non-musical issues. Plenty of conservatives love Paul's music. Music can unite people.

O'Reilly had a nice thing on Paul tonight at the very end of his show. Basically it was to commend Paul and Elton John for still being so creative at their respective ages. He mentioned their new CD"s. He showed the "New" Lyric video and then mentioned that while Elton's isn't selling all that great (around 40,000 units) Paul is # 8 on the album chart. He went on to say that Paul is right behind Miley Cyress which in Bill's opinion, shows the state of music today. All in all, it was a nice plug for Paul's album.

Coming from Alan Alda! LOL! Bill attended one of Paul's concerts in 2002, spoke very highly of the concert, but somewhat condescending about Driving Rain. Seriously? Alan Alda? No wait---sadly. Sadly!!! LOL!

Yeah, that wasn't the wisest statement Paul ever made. It, imo, was a backhanded compliment to O'Bama that backfired.

I've thought Paul the "stately" type, not the rebel rocker. Let John or others do that. He's the guy getting knighted, writing children's songs, faithful to his wife, performing before the President of the US. No need to soil it or curry favor by mocking his predecessor.

Yep, take good publicity any time you can get it. They still did not show the feature that was planned the other night which looked like it was going to be more than the end of the show last night.

BTW - O'Reilly went to HS (Chaminade HS) which is basically across the street from the house I lived in when I was a kid.

And I'm sure that the property-value skyrocketed when he left.
