You never heard of Jools? George was on one of his albums years ago with Horse to Water.
I've known about Jools for many years now as well. But there are a bunch of British "celebs" I have no clue about I'm sure.

ta for the info poor Montana. glad I am not with it as just caught a bit of Robin Thicke on a chatshow, I had never heard of him and indeed now 45 mins later I cant remember what he sang or rather mimed. saturation of macca not his fault, the gossip rags and telly consider him having a cold as newsworthy. For me no more sodden live albums please, I still aint got around to getting wings over America which I wanted years ago (bought it as sound as it came out on lp), quite frankly live cds or dvds or only purchased by me if in sale ie £5 or less. Father Christmas might be bringing it. The projects he does obviously he does them for his own fun and fulfilment but if I was his manager I would lock in a barn every second month and demand 20 songs. Yes a new album every 6 months.

Jools Holland was a founding member of the British pop band Squeeze and played keyboards for them until 1981.

Peter's got the right idea! Much more frequent new albums from McCartney--his manager should crack the whip Get in that barn and bring out 20 new corkers! (songs)

AND later albums too ..85 / 87 ...I met the band (Squeeze) in 86 and he signed my program to a GROOVY FUCKER!!

As I said on another thread in regard to slowish sales of New. I think Paul made a mistake in the long time between the release of his last mainstream album Memory Almost Full and New. Sure between there were lots of side projects including a live album, a Firman album and the archive series releases but I think the casual fan and general public may of thought Paul was a spent force as a producer of new, original rock/pop music. It was nearly 7 years which amazingly was about the same time between The Beatles first album release Please Please Me and last release Let It Be. I think Electric Arguments with some rejigging should of been released as an official Paul McCartney album around 2010 to break up the drought of mainstream Macca. The pity is that New is such a brilliant album and even most of the critics agree but the fact is unless it's sales pick up it will not be he regarded as such by the general public and the media.

Not to keep things off-topic, but I must share that their 1991 song "Satisfied" is pop-music perfection. One of the best tracks I've ever heard.

A great song on one of their best albums "Play". Satisfied
I saw Squeeze earlier in the year and got to meet them after the show where they were signing a 2 CD set of the gig just witnessed. As usual these things go quite quickly, but i got to have a brief chat with Glenn about the song "Some Fantastic Place" which is one of my favs and his i believe. He did say he saw me singing along to it at the front of the stage which was nice of him. Some Fantastic Place -
Saturation point? When it comes to Paul McCartney & The Beatles, I have none.

Having grown up with The Beatles music, I count my blessings that Paul is around to share all his music with us. Maybe I'm Amazed that all these incredible songs still keep pouring out of him. Can't imagine the music just stopping, and frankly don't want it to. If he's compelled to write it, I'm compelled to listen.
