I have not listened to the whole album as it has been hard to do, you know so much to do: Struggle has been on my mind today, esp. these lines: If you wanna love, if you wanna fight It doesn't really matter, I want you tonight All I want is love, anything will do I'm your glass of poison and I'm acting up on you It's the same old song Being sung in the background, being sung up front But, if you wanna get it right, you gotta listen Heed my words, listen to me! Anytime you want me, I'm not hard to find I can't get your loving, I can't get you off my mind If I need you sometime, you got me here right now We can work it out together, we'll get through this somehow. *actually the whole song lyrics are my favorite. The part about heart.* here: Want to get you in my heart again Want to love you once more Want to have you in my heart again Want to get you once more.
Hi! is my favorite too!!! also the line in Hosanna: I wanna hold you in my arms , I wanna take you to my heart again, if you believe it you can stay all nigth, hide in the darkness 'till it's getting light, do everything until we've got it done, then sing hosanna to the morning sun, hosanna...

and Scared is lovely too...some of the lyrics that caught my eye: I remember the first time we met Tears in our eyes reflecting Something connecting from so long ago It might have been told in the stars maybe that's what is was It doesn't matter because I'm still too scared to tell you Afraid to let you see That the simplest of words won't come out of my mouth Though I'm dying to set them free Trying to let you see, how much it means to me How much you mean to me How much you mean to me now

Remember, there but for the grace of God go you and I, do some good before you say goodbye. (from Everybody Out There) Quite good message, Paul!

"when you've been left for dead in the middle of a crisis you still must appreciate the day" or something like that, from "Appreciate" "I need a sweet communicator I can give my alligator to" damned catchy line, from "Alligator" (LOL) as I've told previously, I've actually seen Paul's "alligator" in a picture, a really unexpected surprise People can be real nit picky about lyrics...one guy online even objected to the words "big green bus" in Paul's song "On My Way to Work." I thought, what's so bad about those words, that image? I can be nitpicky about musical special effects in songs--some make me wince or cringe, there's just a very few like that on "New" where the sudden surprise musical embellishments sound too heavy handed or jarring to my ears, can be a bit annoying, sound too heavy metal or else a little too 80's retro...love the hand clapping on "Road" though, one poster said he doesn't like those

And I repeat, you must make it your life's work to locate that photo!

John certainly left nothing to the imagination on that front..... I still find it hard to believe there's one of Paul's floating out there....

Susy described it in detail and swears she's seen it. Unfortunately, she didn't save it on her computer. Then she could sell tickets for a peek!

I was in the library on a puter when that came up in my facebook newsfeed. I was so startled! Couldn't believe my eyes at first. Paul was swooping down like a big plucked naked bird. Sideways view but you could see "it." Someone here implied I was lying but why would I, just to get attention? I've written a lot of stuff here that's gotten some attention from some readers. I didn't need to make it up, and I didn't.

"Hosanna" sounds lilting, beguiling, lovely and romantic and then he drops these kind of jarringly prosaic graphic lines "do everything until we've got it done." Sort of spoils the mood the song created. Unfortunately you can see in your mind's eye the image these words evokes ops: You can visualize anyone getting it on, in your mind. ops: So he sort of lost me there, for a mo.

This is one of my favorites: She came from Chichester To study history She had removed her clothes For the likes of me Please give your favorite line from New
That's one of them

Nancy R:
I Can Bet: "What I'm gonna do next I leave entirely to your imagination"
That's another favorite.

Love it! Love that line. Love that song. There is something for everyone on this album.

I think "do everything until we've got it done" is clearly about sex. Damn, that other Nancy is lucky!
Yeah, it is. Has to be

Another of my favs: "I need a place where I can rest my weary bones and have a conversation not too deep" AND the alligator line, priceless. I love how he doesn't rhyme sometimes, but you're thinking the rhyme and it would fit with the context. He's done that more than once. Example: Got up. Got out of bed. Dragged a comb across my hair (head). Another display of brilliance (or at least he's fooled me).

I like that one too. Also from Save Us: Keep on sending your love In the heat of battle You've got something that'll save us Save us now He is writing as he says, about Nancy, a woman's love. But I like it as it reminds me of when I send Love to people, animals, situations or just the Universe in general. A Universal Love, to elevate the Greater Good of the Universe. I do it even if I am exhausted with my own personal 'trials and tribulations...' I always find the energy to send Love to All.

If you are referring to me...I never said you were lying. I said it was unbelievable to me.

there but for the grace of God go you and I, we're the brightest objects in the sky : those words mean a lot to me, that spirituality touches my soul. may sweet memories of friends from the past always come to you when you look for them it's so perfect, i almost cried when i first read it. and your inspiration, long may it last i love that one too 'cause i have always thought that inspiration is something very strange and mysterious and i'm sure every artist -such as paul- has a special link with it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that. I feel the same way
