What Comes After Japan?

He didn't do his normal Christmas show though.
Not sure there is a "normal" Christmas show is there? He just happened to perform shows at Christmas time 2 consecutive years? 3 consecutive years?

A proper show at Christmas time is all I meant. Sorry. A proper show is much more than just viewing him on the telly. But yeah...2 or 3 consecutive years is the start of a pattern.

it's not even December yet! HELLO

I too had begun to assume it's very special to him to perform in the U.K. at Christmas time--but can certainly understand if he wants and needs a long break to enjoy family and rest and rejuvenate--and finish songs and write more songs! (hint, hint)

HELLO One month from today is Christmas eve.
-
jena:
He was just there! He did a bunch of stuff for you guys! He was all over your tellies. HELLO?
Hello Jena. I hope things are going a bit better for you now! Paul has done lots of TV stuff in the UK, yes, but none of them were proper tour dates and none of them were shows that his fans could buy tickets for. Many weren't accessible at all by fans and many were based on a lottery that you'd have to be extremely lucky to win tickets for. The pop up Covent Garden show lasted 20 minutes with just 30 minutes notice to fans so hardly any of us could make it in time. What I'm talking about is an actual, full length Out There tour show where I can buy a ticket and attend. Just like what so many US fans were treated to throughout the summer.

It was starting to look like a reliable, annual event to me, as well.

To me as well.

I am surprised that, after Japan, it is quiet in the Macca camp. Is he done promoting NEW? I don't think a tour in 2014 will help sell the CD. I sure would not mind being wrong! I just think it would have been great for McCartney to announce some UK, Europe, and Australia dates NOW, even if they are for 2014. It would keep momentum going for NEW.

Lot of other big names like The Stones and Springsteen touring Australia next year - lets hope MAcca follows their lead.
-
How long in advance does he usually announce European tour dates?

Usually two months ahead in winter (like the Christmas/winter EU/UK tours were announced in October both in 2009/2011) but the three EU concerts for June were announced in March and the same happened with the summer UK concerts in 2010. And the UK Christmas shows in 2010 were announced like two weeks prior the shows.
-
Thanks. I guess that means an announcement will come in March for concerts in June in the UK and Europe.
-
There were also a few European concerts in March 2012. How long in advance were those announced?

They were announced in early February.

Maybe tour announcements will come in January. Seems like Australia should be first, if it happens, if he is to do outdoor shows there. When does the cold weather set in down under?

I doubt there's that much momentum for NEW now here in the UK,Paul seems to have a handle on things, shows sell out in quick time so it doesn't really matter when he announces his dates,as he surely will,i feel things will quieten down now till the new year and maybe some dates for the summer though i suspect he'll back in America as well too.

I agree. I am guessing the USA and Latin America later in 2014. But I don't know, really!
