Yes it is! I take a natural cranberry supplement everyday.

And it's tasty.
the straight stuff can be sour. but It's great with pineapple and vodka
-
I like cranberry tea. It's just the dried fruit. no flavorings. Alvita makes a good one. I mix it with Elderberry.
-
A discount grocery store here is selling bags of fresh cranberries for 99 cents a bag. I bought some to make homemade cranberry sauce, and will use Splenda or something like that instead of sugar. I sprinkled some of the berries in oatmeal, they were sour even with the sugar free syrup I poured on the oat meal, but imparted a not unpleasing "Zing"
-
Suzy, try putting a little applesauce on the oatmeal with the cranberries to sweeten it. (My mom added a touch of honey too). Or pineapple juice...just a splash in with the milk some use apple juice too. Just a shot or two to sweeten the berries a bit.
-
Stevia Has anyone used this type of sweetener yet? It seems to be slowly gaining popularity worldwide. Haven't heard anything about it lately, and have never noticed it in the stores. Some countries have used it for ages.
-
There's raw stevia that is green and there is the refined stuff that varies from brand to brand. I remember when it was approved as a food additive but not a medicine back in '95. the green stuff takes away tart. It's not good for limeade thus
-
I like the combination of sweet and tart, which is a good thing since I have to pour some vinegar on sweet stuff before consumption (and also only eat sweets in moderation after a meal containing fat) because of blood sugar. I need to get away from sweets entirely except for fruit. Thanks for the tips, Kathryn O.

the best fruits to eat are the berries. they are the lowest in sugar and highest in antioxidants.

Thanks, K.O. A local news program recently featured a snippet on acupuncture, surprising, extolled it, says it really does have benefits--this was just a dinky regular newscast from a small place in S.C. and they said that--wish I'd been listening more closely. Ever since I had the amazing dreams which seemed to disclose parts of past lives, I've wanted to get acupuncture to see if more memories of those come up as they did for Shirley MacLaine when she had acupuncture just for that purpose. Dr. Oz did a section on the chakras recently but got too complicated and I lost interest in which chakra does this and that and what feelings and physical reactions emerge when this and that is done, etc. Although I do recall times when I was absolutely enthralled by such discussions, on the chakras, and read and learned about them with some fascination.

Acupuncture worked for me when I had ear trouble. I was dizzy from fluid trapped in the ear canals. I took antihistamine & decongestant tablets but just got worse (& dehydrated). When it got really bad I went in for acupuncture. When I got home I laid down for a nap & all the trapped fluid just flowed right out - what a relief. I went back 2 or 3 times but didn't really need it so I quit. They wanted more visits, thats the thing about acupuncture, they like you to go in every week for about a month, thats a lot for me. I don't go to doctors or take pills unless I'm desperate, just don't like either one.

Times are changing, and just as some believe there are many branches to the tree of Religion, so are there many paths to health. I am an acupuncture student also studying a form of medicine called FCT - Field Control Therapy where drops of water imprinted with frequencies basically support the body's organs and can also help eliminate bad frequencies. My MD and I have been successfully treating my LD with FCT, traditional homeopathy and herbs since traditional antibiotics were ineffective.

So cool your studying acupuncture. I had really good results when I used it for my ears, now I need to go back in for my shoulder. I don't know what I did, hurt it somehow. Hope they can help with this. They are so nice & unassuming, very different from arguing with some inexperienced doctor who only wants to rx ibuprofen horse pills for the rest of your life. Booo! Any way I got off track, really want to say Great! We need more acupuncturists.

I laughed upon seeing a sign stating "We have Acupuncture Now" at a health agency sort of spa-like place in my county seat "Mayberry"-like town. So unexpected.

Why am I not surprised by this-- "Dr. Oz Medical Advice (on his show) Found 50 percent Or More Erroneous"-- more than half his suggestions false, wrong-headed. Lies! And Oz has his own magazine now, too! I saw pix of Dr. Oz when he went before Congress or somewhere on the Hill, he was called in because of concerns some of his advice and teachings are downright wrong. I wonder what he told them. Am still not totally down on him, having gotten into his show several times, enjoyed it, although often "Med Lite." Some of his wackier assertions advise to pose like Wonder Woman with legs wide and fists on hips for 20 seconds a day "to increase testosterone" and not to gargle with mouthwash in the morning or you'll get a disease :
-
OOPS...Dr Oz has resorted to calling himself "just entertainment" if what I read is true (called his show just entertainment) :

Ironic that I felt a lot better not taking lots of extra supplements and herbs, all in pill form, when I stopped. Was downright fearful of melatonin, after I nearly lapsed into a coma, it felt like, after taking it. Felt super drowsy for at least two days. Fell into deep sleeps during the daytime, etc. It was hard to wake up in the mornings. I'm real scared of melatonin !

Witches in New England have just placed a 24 hour "hexing" on the Stanford college convicted rapist who only got six months prison time for his crime (he's white). It's in the news. Lucky for them witches don't get hanged in America anymore
