Teen Singer" Lorde" New Sensation, Has #1 Hit Song
-
Both Lennon and McCartney were writing songs at 16. Imagine what they could have done today if they were growing up in an Internet world! Lorde is like Stevie Wonder or Mozart, a child prodigy. There are lots of talented young persons about. And they're not all gonna grow up screwed up because of it! That's just a dumb thing to say, because we are all individuals and we all handle things differently. She seems to have her head screwed on straight and not letting the fame game get to her. I'm sure she'll be fine, even if she's just a "flash in the pan."

SusyLuvsPaul:
So you can't make music if you're 16 or younger...you can't make music if you're 71 or older...this is ageism--discrimination because of age. If the music is in you it's in you, regardless. "Royals" is an interesting, unusual song, and I hope for more of the same on the Lorde album "Pure Heroine." She's something different on the music scene right now.
I am not saying you cant make music at 16, I think you can make music from whenever you want, even as soon as your born for all I care. in fact, I love " when Im 64" by Paul, he wrote that at 14 thought Im going to suspect there were a couple of changes. what Im mainly trying to argue is should you get into the music industry before you have even finished you education and maybe find out what you may want to do in life? no. I don't believe in that. as a young adult of that age, you make stupid plans to do things which you may later find it may not be something you would want to do, I mean a year ago I wanted to look at being somewhere in the scientific field, right now, not so much. in these years. as a teenager, there are stupid things that you think, you have breakdowns at sometimes nothing, you make lots of mistakes. giving someone spotlight at this time would lead you on the track of a complete breakdown as a adult. maybe not a public one, but a mental one that will linger for the rest of ones life and can easily get bigger. and we already have enough of those people who have broken down in the charts already.... finally, please tell me how royals is interesting? I have listened it to so many times and still do not find anything. as far as I can see, it still looks like a birdy or Lana del ray copy. and a ok one at best. and I swear I found the Samsung ad version of it to sound a bit better than the actual song. there Is a problem when a friggin Samsung commercial copy sounds better than the original song.

I'm not familiar with Lana del Ray or Birdy songs. Wish I could access music videos, but then I'd just want to watch them all the time. Do you sing and write songs, Ringo, you could post yours on YouTube too, and see what happens

I remember seeing some "Birdy" videos and really liking her songs, and her singing. I want to get hers. Thanks for making me remember
