Concerts Too Loud

I like it loud. It's a rock-show, for Chrissakes.
This,i would add an "if its too loud your too old" for effect, but c'mon its a rock show it should be loud, very loud.
-
Paul's show in Las Cruces, NM in 1993 was outdoors, loud, but very good. The weather was perfect, so that helped.
-
I am now to a point where I will never go to another stadium show. Paul's shows will never be too loud for me.

I actually thought Barclays was the best sounding Macca gig I had ever been to.. And I was right beside the stage.. Amps were right by us. Acoustics were great, band was on fire. No complaints here DC sounded good too but much more open air, obviously.. Being an out door stadium right by the river. No comparison in sound quality. Indoor is much better.. And definitely louder!

Part of the experience is spending the rest of the night with it all pounding in your head

Actually that truly 'helped' me out when I saw him at Fenway this past summer. We had scheduled a Florida vacation and was flying out the next morning - early to where we had to wake up at 4 oclock. Of course fate would play it that Paul McCartney would schedule a concert in Boston the night before we were leaving Boston on our trip - and no, I wasn't going to miss it. I was concerned with how tired we'd be in the morning and praying that we didn't sleep through the alarm clock...well, no problem there - between that show still pounding in my head and the excitement of leaving the next morning, I probably got all of about 1/2 hours sleep (at the most - probably a very generous estimate...LOL)

We were in the nosebleeds. The sound sucked. Loud and distorted. I spoke to my uncle about it and he said the way it's designed, the sound hits the steel ceiling and shoots right into the nosebleeds, but very violently and painfully. Hopefully Paul will play at a good venue the next time I see him. He's apparently forgotten about MSG

Drat, hehe I'd say this the first concert post Paul a couple of years back was Guns N Roses,my husband leaned over at one point and asked if they were they ever going to turn their sound up and he had a point compared to Paul other artists are definitely quieter in my opinion

I've missed out on attending two concerts of Paul's on the run....I must remedy that, before I get past it :

I agree 100%! I was up there, also, and the sound was terrible. Not the loudest I've heard, but definitely the most distorted. I hated the seats, too. I didn't like anything about Barclays. I always have ear plugs with me, and often pop them in at concerts. It actually helps a bit with the distortion, as well as volume.

As I recall, I was only 4 sections or so from you in the nose bleed seats, and the sound wasn't bad at all, actually. I've seen Paul in both stadiums and arenas, and this show wasn't near the worst sounding-concert I've heard. The seats, though, were rather uncomfortable, so I can agree about that. They weren't built for people with long legs! :

The sound got better as the show went on. It was still really loud. From your videos, I was actually higher up than you, and further back. It was still a great show, but those first few songs were a little distorted.
-
The recent Black Sabbath concert I saw was really loud but I loved it. Ear plugs were needed as my ears were ringing for hours after the show.
-
I am probably going to pay for it someday, but I like concerts loud and no earplugs.
-
I have seen Paul eight times between 1976 and 2009, and his shows are always dynamic and in your face, both visually and sound-wise. I like that! 2009 in Vegas at the Joint was pretty loud, but that was an indoor 4000 seat venue. Even his outdoor shows have volume and impact.
-
Last time I saw Paul was in Austin at the Erwin Center. Enclosed. Loud, but clear. Awesome. One of the many things I love about his concerts is that we can all sing along at the top of our lungs and not offend anyone!
