Who loves The Everly Brothers?

Best harmonies ever!!!!

I remember hearing The Everly Brothers' "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" on the radio and loved the song. I was too young to know who the Everly Bros were then, and I was unaware of Paul's connection for years and years. To me, it was just a great track that seemed to come and go way too soon. I love the song. And they had clearly taken great care of their voices during their commercial hiatus.

it was 1959, the summer that yr, when I heard the Everly Brothers over the AM Radio in Colorado, at our Summer Cabin in the Woods! OH MY GAWD! I still get chills going down my spine with those two! I love 'LUCILLE" Omy Gawd, Phil and Don made it their OWN. just the best. and "TAKE A MESSAGE TO MARY' so glad I havethose on Reel to Reel and cassette. O h my goodness AM Radio in the 40's and 50's. nothng like it! thanks to that we have PAUL and everyone! you had to be their, in that time, to RELISH OUR FREEDOM in this Historical Time of our Lives! to add, Don and Phil had a KICK AS** BASE ON THIS!! and Little Richard did it his way too. love them both.

Can't believe that nobody has uploaded this EB gem, so I've made a video and posted it to my own YouTube channel. One of my favorites -- and, yet, another late-'60s track of theirs that was as good as anything else on the radio at that time: The Everly Brothers - You're Just What I Was Looking For Today:

If I'm not mistaken, Phil & Don still perform semi-regularly. They perform solo or as guests more than anything else, seemingly. And, last time I'd heard 'em, they're still great. Here's the discussion forum at the official Everly Family site: http://forum.everlybrothers.net/ Here's a video greeting from Phil at their homepage: http://everlybrothers.net/

Everly Brothers - Let It Be Me (live, 2005)

JordanOnTheRun:
Not forgetting the backing vocals they did on Paul Simon's song 'Graceland' from the album also titled 'Graceland'
Here's Paul Simon introducing them to perform a great version of "Wake Up Little Susie" in 2005 (not 2004 as the poster indicated):
