I saw Zombie and Manson last year on the Twins of EVil tour when it came to the UK- fantastic! More of a Manson fan but Zombie was amazing, like seeing Rammstein for the first time. I'm happy NIN are touring over here next May, got a ticket for that. Lately, I have been reacquainting myself with HIM, not really metal but some Metal fans like them, and the band are metal fans to. Goth/dark rock. Really quite good stuff.

I have a friend who really likes Behemoth, but it's not my cup of tea. I can still listen to old Sabbath though.

I LOVE METAL / HARD ROCK! I love BLACK SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN, MOTLEY CRUE, VAN HALEN etc... There are many more to list! At the moment, I've been really getting into JIMMY PAGE / ROBERT PLANT! I own dozens of bootlegs on PAGE / PLANT shows! I saw the Sacramento, CA. show (6 October 1995), San Jose, CA. show (20 May 1995) and the Concord, CA. show (11 September 199 just to name a few, I finally saw these shows on DVD, the quality is incredible! I can talk Metal / Hard Rock all day. Its been a long time since I've been back on the forum, I've been terribly busy with work, a day's work is never done! I am looking forward to conversing with all of my fellow BEATLES / MCCARTNEY fanatics, talk to you soon.

Doosh! Bumped thread...... Recently saw Iron maiden play the last date if the Maiden Engkland tour in Sonisphere a few weeks back, amazing as ever. Pretty much the same set list as last year but they took out "Afraid To Shoot Strangers"and replaced it with "Revelations" which made me very happy! New albums I have bought are Steel panther's Balls out and All You Can Eat. Great band and I find the comedy value doesn't wear too fin. must see them play next year. And I bought Hail To The King, by Avenged Sevenfold. Despite the criticism this album has received, I actually still think this is a very enjoyable album indeed. Really good.
-
iron maiden are always fun to watch live glade you had fun not really a fan of steel panther or avenge seven fold never really cared for them im to see Amon Amarth with sabaton and skeleton witch live next month gonna be a good show

Not extrmely metal but there are bands in the genre that I like. I wouldn't mind it if McCartney made a harder rocking album, I remember there were some rumours a couple of years ago, featuring Dave Grohl and garage rock... but then came Kisses and then came New. Not very rock albums. I'm fond of guitars, maybe even more like the jangly guitars of Teenage Fanclub and 80s R.E.M. than the screamy guitars of Van Halen for example, although I do enjoy some Halen. I wish he'd make a... well, a guitar kind of driven album. I think It would be exciting.

There's a distinct lack of power chords and black t-shirts with skulls on them in this forum and I am wondering if anyone else is up for discussing metal releases. I'm a writer for UK based website MetalTalk.net (http://metaltalk.net)) so come into contact with a lot of bands from established names to smaller bands who are just starting out. My most recent review was the new single from New York based band, To The Pain: http://metaltalk.net/columns2015/201523242.php Any other 'eavy metal going down well in this parish recently?

I remember the Brazilian heavy band Sepultura played at Kalvøya Festival in 1996, it's the most heavy concert I've ever been to. I have their "Roots" album from this period, not sure what you might call the vocal style of the lead singer, my throat is finished in three seconds if I try to sound like him. It's a bit like "Nothing Too Much Just Out of Sight" only ten times rawer.

Those death-metal vocals definitely require more skills than you'd think. Makes me cough. I think the heaviest band I ever saw was Tool at Lollapalooze back in the day. Their singer is exceptionally gifted. Amazing vocals.
