Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

Don't get all hung up on letters and dates folks. No matter where information comes from things can and do change at the last minute due to a whole myriad of things. As long as he keeps doing 4-6 shows per announcement, it should only take 2 or so more announcements to get the whole picture. We should know at least 3/4 of it after this week! Even I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for confirmation!! Only have one show so far and hoping for some more that I can do!

Have any of the announced dates so far been different than the list you have?

And I know it's "early days" to ask this, but could there possibly be more U.S. shows in the fall?

Of course anything is possible but historally speaking since starting these mini tours..September and October have usually been quiet months except last year when he did some promotions for the 'New" album. I would tend to doubt it. With zero to back it up...I would be thinking Europe/UK late in the year. Don't get all excited because I have nothing to point out other than a gut feeling.

A friend just sent this link to me. Regarding the Fargo date in question. Other guesses for F? http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/432474/
Fort Wayne? Seems pretty close to Chicago though. Arena sits 13,000 (without a stage I presume).
Milwaukee is too close to Chicago too. I'd think some of the towns need to be re-assessed.
Milwaukee is a perennial McCartney stop, just like Chicago. Plus they are going to be in different months so you will get a lot of people going to both cities. I am pretty sure Fort Wayne won't happen....Fargo still seems correct. All of Bob's info has been correct so far so I have no reason to believe the trend won't continue.

Come to Milwaukee Bob...it'll be a good time!

Wouldnt be surprised if 8/5 is Missoula Mt. I only say that because its obscure(like Bob said some dates would), its closer to Utah than Wisconsin and the Stones played there a few years ago, and drew well. 8/2 at Target Field makes sense as well. Saturday night Stadium show. Should draw well too
Is there a reason to believe Paul will be playing a baseball stadium in Minneapolis rather than a basketball arena?
Target Field has been wooing him and rumoring his show for a few years now.
I hope it's not the basketball area or hockey. Most likely TCF Stadium (U2 played there last time) or Target Field if he plays MN. The All Star game is at Target Field on July 15th and I heard on the news that they're looking for a big name concert around that date.

I don't think he'd do them in the same year...but who knows?

Presser in Lincoln, NE Monday morning to announce an "historic" concert at the brand-new Pinnacle Bank Arena. Pretty sure L=Lincoln on 7/14.

Very coincidental for Fargodome to be holding press conference at the same time.

He did both cities in 2002 and 2005, and the shows were on the same leg of those tours. But since he played a a stadium show in Milwaukee last year and there are 2 shows supposedly scheduled for Chicago, I doubt he will play Milwaukee this year.

Hmmmm? Do they "lie" in Fargo? Well, congrats Lincoln.

Thanks for replying, Bob. I had a feeling you might say that. Of course, I'm happy for our British friends if he does get over there; I know it's been a while.

Posted by local station KLKN: A historic concert is coming to Lincoln, but officials are keeping it a secret until Monday. The suspense is making some people in Lincoln wonder, who will it be? "They need something once and awhile for that age of people and the younger groups still know the Stones and Aerosmith," Jody Martin said. Will it be one of the classics, or will it be someone from the younger generation? "Justin Bieber! That would be historic," Doug Martin said. Several people are predicting Aerosmith. "I'm going to go with Aerosmith, that's a really good guess," Josh Hielkemann said. While others are looking back to the '90s. "Maybe Pearl Jam? I wish, I hope," Jordan Howard said. We asked viewers on Facebook their predictions, rock artists like Wham and Paul McCartney, to country singers like Garth Brooks made the list. One band stands out above the rest so far. "I really think it might be the Rolling Stones," Rachel Anderson said. "They're historically an icon," Jenny Bast said. Mayor Beutler will make the announcement Monday at 10 a.m. at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Was just thinking reading about these announcements and the speculation that they will be McCartney concerts. If they are indeed Macca shows.....I would find it hard to believe that he'd allow the venues to make an announcement. This would lead me to believe that if they are McCartney shows that are being announced than Paul's site would either announce them Saturday, Sunday or Monday morning prior to the press conferences. What does everyone else think? If we don't get announcements from Paul's site then I would not believe that they are indeed McCartney concert announcements. Of course, they have Saturday, Sunday and Monday prior to those news conferences to make an announcement. When is the public sales for Lubbock, Dallas, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Nashville...oops Salt Lake?

Any hope for Denver getting Out There? 2010 was great, but based on that Japan broadcast, this is his best show since 2005, and I'd love to see it...

Public sale is April 25 (AMEX pre-sale is April 21-24)

puts a damper on my theory I think. If it's 4/25 public sale for the last 6 shows..I would doubt they'd be making another announcment this early and I highly doubt that he'd let the arenas announce his shows without him doing it first! I don't think those announcements will have anything to do with Out There Tour. Just a guess, happy to be wrong though

Seems unlikely to me, too, that he would let himself be "scooped" by someone else on this kind of announcement. So maybe it does mean he'll announce more on Monday, despite the fact that other announced shows aren't on sale yet?
