Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
What about all the rumours about Paul performing with Beyonce at the World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil on 12 June?
-
Anyone else noticed that the upcoming tour dates were taken off the main site? :
-
Hopefully it is just site maintenace; if not and the dates are cancelled let's all hope Paul is doing well; he has given us years of happiness with his life on the road. Right now his health take priority.
-
I think the site is just going through maintenance right now cause everything is all messed up on the website right now.....

I don't get that anyone is being secretive. Paul was photographed when he came back to London and Stuart Bell said he was doing fine in the newsletter. How many more updates do people need? This is Paul's private time - he is not going to be putting out bulletins about how or what he is doing.Paul almost certainly intended to be photographed when he took the walk in London, and having given the press and fans what they wanted, went somewhere that the paps aren't.I think you can assume that the tour is going ahead as planned.
Nobody is asking Paul to spend his free time convincing his fans that he is doing okay and to tell us what he's been up to for the past couple of weeks. However, he has a team of people who regularly updates his website and social media accounts that could easily do this in five minutes and end the speculation without having to involve Paul (beyond him giving permission to post it, which should take a total of ten seconds out of his day). This would be a far more professional way of handling the situation than expecting fans in the US to assume the concerts will happen based on the fact that there was a picture of Paul posted in a British tabloid two weeks ago. Same with Stuart Bell's vague "Paul is fine" comment in a newsletter that the vast majority of his fans don't subscribe to. Heck, when the Stones had to postpone their tour earlier this year their management regularly kept the fans up to date and they were even able to reschedule all the gigs within 2-3 weeks of the cancellations. This was all handled swiftly and efficiently without violating Mick's privacy so it's not like it can't be done.

The tour dates are back, so no need to worry! I wish I could go too....
-
Me too Kimsey, not seeing any shows this US tour. I really don't understand why people assume we should get more information. We were told full recovery, we saw him walking in London. Might I add, good healthy posture which is important. No news of cancellation. Paul and MPL don't usually communicate much with the fans. This is standard operating procedure.

I totally agree with you. I don't know why people get bashed for asking about Paul's health & if the show will go on. : If I had tickets for this 1st show in Lubbock...maybe soundcheck tickets...maybe for the whole family & then on top of that airline tickets & hotel tickets & time off work...Yes I'd be wondering too.

Thanks for the sympathy! Btw Paul has always had excellent posture! As for me I understand the need and curiosity for more info and update, but no news is good news.

I agree, Kimsey, no news is good news.
-
He's probably just taking things easy to make sure he's in good shape for the shows, hence why things have been a bit quiet. I think if they weren't going to go ahead, there would have been some kind of announcement made by now.
-
Well I do hope he's resting and that all is well. I posted this in The Broadcast, but sharing here as it's another positive sign about the tour going forward; this release is dated June 4th, so if there were cancellations, I doubt Paul would donate any items to WhyHunger's "Summer Meals Rock For Kids" campaign: http://whyhunger.org/images/summer/Summer%20Meals%20Rock%20For%20Kids%206.4.14.pdf

So far nothing suggests he's cancelling any further shows. Until they give us a reason to worry about it, don't.
-
I don't think Paul would want to cancel anymore shows he'd be highly upset if he had to do that. Im sure Paul will be 100% better by the time the other shows come up.

Any ideas on if/where Paul is likely to tour in 2015?

Probably all the same places as last time

Like I thought/fared, Paul is still not 100% well and several of the dates have been postponed until October. http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs (more info here since you aren't allowed to post whole articles. 'Out There' Tour To Resume July 5 in Albany. "I?m sorry but it?s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again. I?m feeling great but taking my docs' advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon.? ? Paul McCartney Paul McCartney has confirmed that he will, however reluctantly, heed medical advice to rest up just a bit longer to fully recuperate from the virus that forced the postponement of his recent dates in Japan and Korea.

Thanks for that info. and again...why do people get slammed for asking questions & being worried?

Yeah, no kidding. I wonder if this kind of confirms he had surgery and that he needs more time to recover from that? Makes sense to me, although it really doesn't matter. Anyway, I'm glad we got some news at last. Hope he gets better soon.
