So I took a spin through downtown today in hopes to see a billboard. Didn't see any! We came in through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and were around the arena. We must have been in the wrong areas. Since the Pens are in the playoffs, all the banners around the arena were for them, obviously. Anyone know where the Macca billboards are located? I've seen and heard the TV/Radio ads several times now! I get chills when they come on!
-
I know there is one billboard coming in on 279 from the North. Someone else told me they saw one downtown somewhere.
-
Looks like all the nosebleed seats are gone... for now anyway. A few colleagues of mine are trying for those seats with no luck! I can't pull anything below $290. Hope all of you have gotten the seats you are hoping for!
-
Doesn't look like there's going to be a second show either.. that would have been done by now you'd think! Plus the TV/Radio ads have been saying "One night only"

I doubt we'll get two shows. Surprised how many tickets are still available on ticketmaster....plus, there are rumors for July 9th/10th in Chicago.

Noticing there are a lot of good seats left.. as for the cheap seats, can't pull up any. To be honest, I'm not surprised. The Pittsburgh region isn't exactly a wealthy area.. Many of my friends and colleagues are looking for the cheaper seats and not having any luck Scalpers probably know the market around here quite well and grabbed up all the cheap seats to mark them up to $200.

Additionally it is right after the 4th. Lots of people have vacations planned for that week. Traditionally lots of people are away that week.

I work downtown and can see the Consol from my window. I haven't seen any billboards at all. My guess is they won't be put up until closer to the show date.

Anyone know (from 2010) where he came into the arena? I'd like to make sure I get to the Consol Energy Center as early as possible to see him come in.

I'm definitely interested in doing this. Especially since we're probably going to be staying at Cambria right there....the perfect setup!

Tried to buy pre-sale tickets, and it says it is sold out. I know he's popular, but sold out in 10 minutes?

Still plenty of tickets left for Pittsburgh! Don't fret! http://www.ticketmaster.com/paul-mccartney-pittsburgh-pennsylvania-07-07-2014/event/16004C877FF247B8?artistid=735610&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1&tm_link=artist_msg-1_16004C877FF247B8 The presale was for last wednesday at 10.am, so I don't think the presale is still going on right now...

It's at the back of the arena. Kind of close to the parking garage. There are 2 entries though. I remember from 2010 it being confusing because all of the tour busses entered one way, and he entered in the other way. Last time, he literally circled the arena. He rode up Center Ave (where there were a TON of fans standing.. there were merchandise stands set up, etc..)..and in his official YouTube video, you can see him driving up Center Avenue and waving to fans.. even shaking one girl's hand when stuck in traffic. He went up the hill and a side street to enter the arena by the parking garage. We saw him come in the second night, and it was pretty cool! But looking back, I do wish I would have been one of the lucky fans standing on Center Avenue when he was stuck in traffic! He kind of flew by us at the entry way.. Also..Pittsburgh traffic pretty much sucks. Especially on a weekday. Last year, his plane was late, and he was also stuck in traffic on his way from the airport. I do recall he didn't arrive till around 6ish? Hope he's not late again!

Oh well you may see me hanging out on the street hoping for traffic to stall with Paul right in front of me!

LOL I thought about doing the same actually. I haven't had much luck at "limo watch" the past few times. He either goes by too quickly, and/or they move/rearrange us at the last minute .... so it's literally a "run as fast as you can to get a decent view" kind of thing.. Seems that people who aren't even trying end up getting the best view or just end up at the right place at the right time!

Stuck in traffic? Where's the obligatory police escort?
