Paul, Come To Australia
-
Hope For The Future released globally Dec 8th. If it's all about this, I will fair dinkum spew up!
-
May very well be...according to his website: "Paul McCartney?s new song 'Hope For the Future' to be globally released on 8th December Digital bundle to include Paul?s original anthem from the biggest entertainment release of the year ?Destiny? plus four exclusive mixes." Hope, I'm wrong...
-
Hope For The Future...and John. Looking like this will be the subject matter....
-
Coming Up... Paul McCartney speaks about his "new projects." :
-
Nothing to see. Just same rehash. Beatles this...Beatles that. Exclusive for Australia? The interviewer was a POM and NO MENTION of Australia.
-
Oh hang on...the interviewer wrapped up the segment by assuring us Paul is "a nice and humble gentleman." So, thank God Australia tuned in early to learn that...
-
So ... the subject of Paul McCartney touring Australia wasn't even mentioned? That's odd, considering that Paul is constantly touring. Sounds like a pre-interview stipulation to me.
-
Correct. We got Paul recalling John singing his vocal on GIRL, which we've all heard a million times "he did this inhaling thing" and Paul telling us how humbling it is when people tell him "The Beatles saved my life"...which we've heard a million times. The post pre-recorded interview wrap featured the dude telling us, "no word of any tour there...I know you've been waiting forever."
-
Hang in there Australia...with Japan on the "radar" for 2015, the wait may be over (soon).
-
I would like to watch that Australian interview. Is it available online somewhere?
-
Nothing to see. Usual boring Paul by numbers.

I understand, but I would still like to watch that Australian interview. If someone can provide a link, I'll appreciate it.

An Australian journalist hasn't done a proper one-on-one interview with Paul McCartney for years and years. They are all cut up from other foreign interviews, and the producers of the lame home-made programs claim them as their own. Pathetic. I still recall one of the best interviews with a Beatle being during Cloud Nine with George. The Ray Martin Show. He is a respected journo in Australia but no Norton or Leno/Letterman type. But that was a beauty.... I've got it on VHS somewhere , but it would take me too long to find it (plus my recorder is defunct).... But that was an interview that was "individualised", not "generic" and made it unique to him being in this country (he might've been here for the car racing, which made him a frequent visitor)... but they did plug "When We Was Fab". Have not seen anything that good since with a Beatle... otherwise in the last many years, our lazy journos will just pull the 'worldwide' interview, dress it up by putting it to stock footage fr0m the mass of fans at the Southern Cross, and claim it as an exclusive. Really, really shites me!

Thanks, I'll check it out! I'm sending you a private message, by the way.

I think the last interview with Paul and an aussie, done expressly for us was on Sunday Night, for Kisses On The Bottom. Ian used to have carte blanche access to him, but Live 8 in 2005 was the last time I recall seeing a filmed piece.

Thanks for that! Yeah, that was it... funny how the mind plays tricks. I thought he was in Australia all those years back, but time seems to have played with my mind. A great interview, though, via satellite. George was very candid.
