OK, it took me about 29 seconds to figure out the theme for that, otherwise, delightfully random collection.

I think that Motor Of Love album was put together as a tie-in with Lexus for the US Tour. They were one of the promotors of the tour, and it was the same year.

Ahh, so that was what Rough Ride was all about.... it's all so clear now. A bumpy ride on a bumpy road. In a car. Why, it's all so simple.

Yes you are correct! They had a slipcase with the US Tour dates along with Chaos and Creation in the Backyard cd+Motor of Love. Since I had C&CiTBY I went for stand alone cd at the record store.

Did they forget "If You Wanna" from "Flaming Pie"? McCartney describes it as a 'driving across America" song in the liner notes of the album. But it might be missing a car association in the title, unlike the songs selected for the compialation... I don't have "Motor of Love" in my collection, but I will look out for it, on Amazon... There is at least one unreleased song as far as I can see, I don't think the Super Bowl live version of "Drive My Car" is on any live album, but it is perhaps the same as the DVD version from "The McCartney Years".
