What? Has it reached PLATINUM?
Or perhaps has it reached Rhodium status?
You know he does actually have a Rhodium Disc, right?
Yes, and Rhodium is a member of the platinum group of metals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodium http://www.cleartest.com/psotm/paul-mccartney/ "After the break up of the Beatles, Paul went on to be the most successful solo member of the Beatles forming his own band, Wings. In 1979, Paul was awarded a rhodium-plated disc for his musical achievements having had 43 million-selling singles and gaining 60 Gold Discs. At this time he had sold more records throughout the world than any other artist."

I don't think that's accurate. Elvis had sold waaaay more records than that.

I think it's with regard to composer or joint composer.

I can imagine some great female diva singing "Scared" in a very dramatic, meaningful and emotional way. I can imagine some popular "male diva" with a great voice singing "Hosanna." That's another sign to me that a song is worthwhile and valid, "a real song," if I can imagine others singing it, too, hear that in my head

Interesting comments. At this point I am more concerned with him putting out quality music as he has already sold millions and millions of albums. And he certainly has done that! I bought Electric Arguments for a Beatle loving friend of mine for her birthday and she was shocked at how good it was. People just aren't hearing his recent stuff.
