Excellent! Thanks so much for the heads-up, Dave! Looks like Rod all night! Always enjoy listening to Rod speak, he has one of those strikingly distinctive voices. LOVE listening to Rod as the voice of Pongo in 101 Dalmatians. One of my favorite Disney films...Pongo and Perdita, Roger and Anita (darling) Radcliffe.
Favorite Time Machine scene, the never-aging mannequin: -
Thanks, Anita. I hadn't realized he was in Dalmatians. I suspect a "stunt voice" did the barking, though.

^ Brilliant!!!

I just bought "The Apartment" on DVD a classic comedy with bittersweet elements starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine, two of my faves. I must say...I greatly miss not having cablevision presently since I don't have TCM...but I don't miss seeing all the Christmas shows and movies--not at all, am not very sentimental right now apparently...don't even mind not seeing "It's a Wonderful Life."

The Apartment is a great flick with a several poignant moments. LOVE Fred MacMurray's departure from his nice guy image in portraying a cad! The scene in which Fran and Sheldrake exchange Christmas presents with Fran giving Sheldrake a record and in return he offers her $100. from his wallet - sooooo calloused and cold, a brutal moment!

This afternoon I had an opportunity to see Made for Each Other on the big screen. The big screen experience definitely heightened the sadness of the New Year's Eve scene. Carole Lombard's eyes - sooooo beautiful!!! As her eyes filled with tears one could feel her portrayal of sadness - quite moving! Always great to see James Stewart on the big screen!
-
Am glad that I tuned in awhile ago and caught the first part of Easter Parade... Excellent, Excellent Movie!

It makes a good double feature with Singin' In the Rain. I have a 2-disc soundtrack album of the two.
